  1. I'd rather not give out the specifics on $$$, but I will say that the initial price of my vehicle on-line was attractive enough to get me into the dealership to check out the car. Then once I got there, just my luck the price was already reduced another $2000 from the on-line price. Then after some negotiation they went down another $3000. But beyond the #'s, they treat you super good. Every time i've come in for service thus far i've had a complimentary breakfast provided (not the greatest food but I don't see them offering this to any of their Toyota customers :P . All in all it's a great dealership & I go out of my way to get my vehicle serviced there
  2. I bought mine from Lexus on the Park (Leslie & Eglinton) formerly Scarborough Lexus. Got a great deal, fully loaded model, excellent service from this dealership. Now i'm a repeat customer. Stay away from Ken Shaw Lexus, you'll get treated like you drive a Kia
  3. Really should've taken a few pics of the old rims before I had 'em replaced. Looked something like this
  4. Ain't that the truth. When I was out shopping for my IS, I could understand the pre-owned no name dealerships giving me faulty information but when I went to my local Lexus showroom I was amazed at the inconsistancy of knowledge from one salesman to the other. I felt like I was educating the salesman on the features of the car that he's suppose to sell me. Same goes for some repair issues & costs associated (depending on the issue of course)
  5. I know the all new G37 2 door/coupe is avail in AWD, 3.5 litre engine. I second that, Lexus, PLEASE make that IS350 AWD. Never wanted a 250 but needed that AWD.
  6. All 4 of my rims were replaced this past Friday. The refurbs look as good as new. Not a single imperfection noticable - in the ride & cosmetically. More than happy, love this dealership (Lexus on the Park, Toronto).
  7. My appointment to have all 4 rims replaced with refurbished ones is tomorrow morning @ 7am. Will let you know how it goes ;) Service Manager is letting me see the rims balanced/mounted to tires so I can check for any imperfections before installation So do all of us with this same issue live in areas with alot of snow in the winter? Really trying to pin down whether it's is in fact the salted winter roads that is causing this bubbling
  8. I'm 6'3" tall and fit quite comfortably in the IS. In fact there's more room than I need - when adjusting the driver's seat to go as far back as it can go I have to put in just a little more effort to reach the stereo/nav. Bottom line it's quite spacious so long as you're in the front seat and no one's sitting behind you.
  9. I LOVE the ECT Power function. Keeps the transmission in the lower gears longer for better performance. Need that to get as much power out of my 250 as possible. Hope to get a 350 one day, that thing must fly
  10. I've got an '06. I was skeptical about getting refurb rims so I asked the service manager if I could see the rims spinning before the tech mounts the tires, just to make sure none of the rims are bent, he said no prob. Most likely going in next week to have all my rims swapped out. It'll look alot nicer too, couldn't tell the diff. between the refurb rims & the new ones & mine are pretty badly scratched on the outer edges.
  11. Seems like their scare tactic is working 'cause I decided to not get my brake pads replaced when I heard there would be a drop in braking performance. Now that I have some reassurance from you that this is not the case i'm gonna go ahead with the swap. Thanks for the info.
  12. I had an issue with my old Toyota Celica, rear oxygen sensor was faulty causing the vehicle to consume more gas. Once replaced the problem was gone. I get great mileage on my IS250AWD. In this summer weather i'm averaging about 530km a tank
  13. 1 dealer I went to blamed the excessive scratches on the outer portion of the rim (from the previous owner hitting to many curbs) causing the inner bubbling. The 2nd Lex dealer I went to blamed the salt on the roads during the winter causing the bubbling. I think the salt caused the bubbling. The 1st dealer offered to replace my 2 rear rims with brand new ones. When I pushed them to cover all 4 they advised Lexus Canada will not replace all 4 rims with brand news ones, rather they will provide refurbished rims. I'm gonna go with getting all 4 replaced. I'm just worried the same thing is gonna happen to the rims come next winter <_< By the way they are well aware this is a problem with these rims, they had a set of 6 refurbished rims on hand! I just need to find the time to go in & get 'em swapped.
  14. My tank was about half full when I brought it in, when I picked it up it was filled up.
  15. So I brought up the issue at the Lex dealer this morning. At first the service advisor notified that they would change both the rear rims but advised they would not change the front rims because there was a considerable amount of scratches along the outer edge of the rims from the previous owner hitting curbs. Which they claim caused the bubbling ?? I pushed them to replace all 4 so the service manager took some pictures and are waiting to hear back from Lex Canada as to whether or not they will replace all 4 rims. Thank G*d I bought this car with some bumper to bumper warranty left on it B)
  16. I love the auto sensing wipers in the Spring/Summer/Fall rain. But man was it a b*tch in the Winter, constantly turning on when my windshield was snowy/icy - no sense in using the auto function in that season
  17. Congrats dude B) i'm totally envious :) ALWAYS WANTED A 350 but with the rough winters here & my little infant couldn't risk myself behind the wheel of a RWD. Question: Speaking to my old Toyota Mechanic, he always told me not to down shift from gear 2 to 1, hence the limiter - but the limiter is not in effect when the rpm is lower than 2.5?. Is it not a good thing to downshift to 1st gear even if the RPM is that low? P.S. My old Celica GTS (automatic) would let me down shift from gear 2 to 1 even when the RPM was at like 4. Loved the roar
  18. Anyone have an HD Radio kit installed on their stock system? Was thinking of buying the kit for better reception of out of town stations. Not a fan of XM/Sirius, love my regional stations.
  19. The bend in the rim is a bigger issue on the forum than it actually is in real life :) , vibration is minimal. + Once I rotate the tires in a few months I shouldn't feel much of anything in the front. Sound quality is all subjective to the listener & it really depends on what kind of music you're listening to. I'm sure no one will argue that the performance you get out of a stock amp & 8" sub doesn't come anywhere close to comparing to that of an aftermarket amp & 12" sub B)
  20. Good to know, time for a mono amp & sub, some good deals @ Best Buy
  21. Okay I listened to that sub behind the rear seat headrests. That bass really doesn't travel to the driver/passenger seat area. My guess it's because of the positioning of the speaker. Also, it doesn't handle loud volume with the bass cranked very well. I think someone may have posted about tapping into that line & connecting an aftermarket sub (no aftermarket amp) & placing the speaker in the trunk. Did it sound MUCH better? Wondering if I should dish out the money for a mono amp or if the stock amp seems to perform well with an aftermarket sub in the trunk
  22. Wish I knew this back in Dec. when my tire got damaged. Don't know much about the tire dept., but for everything else Costco seems to the best return policy of any major store I know
  23. $250 eh $95 for an oil change at my local Lexus dealer. I have a friend that used to be a Toyota mechanic, advised me to just take my IS250 to any Toyota dealer, oil change = $52 (tax in).
