I have an 04 ES330 that I bought about 6 months ago. I love the car but can't understand how the "Auto" setting on the climate control is supposed to work. No matter what the outside temp or the thermo setting, the A/C comes on when I press the "Auto" button. And when trying to heat the interior, the air direction will change from floor only to floor and dash vents and you are hit in the face with tepid air at best. Is this the way the system is supposed to work? Thanks for any help.

My wife drives an 04 ES330 with 39000 miles. Last week, on her way to work, she stopped at a red light. When she tried to accelerate there was no engine response when the gas pedal was depressed. The engine was running but didn't rev. She discovered that by "flooring' the pedal she could crawl along at <5 mph. The check engine light and trac sensor lights came on When we had it towed for service and they found two codes, P2121 Throttle P O L POS Sensor; and P2122 Switch D Circuit Low. They checked both these and found no abnormalties. When they reset the codes, everything returned to normal. Their explanation centered around the computer "losing its program" and somehow the code reset reprogrammed the computer. However, they could give no assurance that the problem wouldn't re-occur at any time. Any ideas?

Had my 04 ES330 for about a month and I can't seem to re-program the auto unlock function. It is set to unlock all doors when the shifter is moved to park. It is my wife's car and she parks in a parking garage at night and doesn't want all the doors unlocking when she puts the car in park. So I followed instructions to change to all doors unlock when drivers door is opened - turned ignition to "On", shifted to neutral, held back of unlock button for 5 seconds and ..... nothing. I understand that the doors should unlock and lock to show that the new program worked but nothing happens and the doors still unlock when shifting to park. Am I missing something? Thanks

Just wanted to say hello and ask a question. My wife and I just purchased a 2004 ES with 36000 miles on it. It is in perfect shape and we love it except for one pretty big problem . . . road noise. When we test drove the vehicle in downtown Baltimore, we drove over rough city streets and made the mistake of not highway driving so the noise problem wasn't noticed. The car is quiet up to about 35 mph then the humming starts (mostly from the front). I am 90% sure the problem is the tires which are Dean Equus LSI's on the front and Yokohama Geolander G900's on the rear. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
