  1. the tires have about 8-16 tread life remaining. They're beautiful tires. The rims have slight curb rash but other than that are great. Jay
  2. I have 5 Konig Imagine rims for sale. They are 18 inch 5 lug fit perfectly on the GS 400. Included are 4 michelin pilot sport a/s mounted and balanced. More information and pics at http://atlanta.craigslist.org/car/54870126.html I'm asking 850 for everything. Thanks Jay
  3. Hey SKPerformance, I wanted to ask you a couple questions about the bridgestone tires you have for sale. Can you email me at autotradercobra@aol.com? Thanks, Jay
  4. Hi, I am looking to buy a pair or set of 245/40/18 tires. Please email me at jaypunnakal@aol.com if you have any. Also, any suggestions for the best place to buy tires would be great. -Jay
  5. So the general consensus is reset your ECU after engine mods? I have an intake system and aftermarket exhaust. the car flies but has the same hesitaiton issue. does the dealership charge to reset the ECU? Thanks Jay
  6. are you sure that it won't let you go over red line? I just bought a GS and don''t want to do anything to mess it up...but so far it is sweet. i thought i wouldn't like the borla exhaust but it's pretty tight now. reminds me of a cobra i used to have. does anyone know what the small green light on the rearview mirror is for? also, how much would 5 stock 16 inch gs400 rims sell for? I have 5 of them (one is the full size spare) for sale with tires. thanks Jay
  7. haha, this is some funny *BLEEP*.... anyways, i have a question...I just bought a 98 GS400 with borla exhaust and an aftermarket intake system....and the car takes a half second or so when you step on it to actually pick up....but once you hit it the thing flies. is there any way to fix that half second delay? whats the deal? I think i read somewhere that the car "learns" the old driver's habits and adjusts to that? is that true? thanks jay
  8. Thanks good idea. Never let yourself get taken out on an emotional sale. I have another question. What are your thoughts on a GS400 or 300 with over 100,000 miles on it? Most cars with that kind of mileage wouldn't appeal to most people. But with Lexus I've heard stories that they can go for 200,000 miles easy. Do they lose performance or are there any costly repairs that are common with these cars after the 100K mile mark? Thanks.
  9. Hi Everyone... I'm trying to get into a GS400...so far I haven't found any great great deals or anything. There is this one GS400 for sale though. 1998 GS400 with 68K miles asking price is 15500 but he said he would take 15000 i might be abel to get him down some more. But the guy said he buys lexuses and toyotas from insurance companies and fixes them then resells. them. according to him the front end damage wasn't too bad to begin with. silver in color. what kinds of things am I going to encounter with this car if it has the salvage history? will the paint stay glossy like the original? Is the car's longevity affected? what do you think about the price? THANKS!!!!!!!!!!! Jay
