I just took a new 2008 350ES for the 1000 mile checkup yesterday and the knocking I hear every morning for 5-10 minutes is what the Lexus mechanic deems injector noise. I asked about the timing and valve adjustment and he assured me it's injector noise and it's perfectly nomal and nothing to worry about. I've got the complaint in writing in case I need it someday................but reading this seems it seems pretty normal.
