  2. Hi folks! Friend of mine has nice 01 430 with 54K on it. Sometimes when he backing up the car shakes, it seems like he pushes and releases accelerator rapidly, but he holds the gas pedal steady. Dealer couldn't find anything. Tranny? Torque converter?
  3. Dropped my friend's LS400 to Lexus of Rockville last Monday, they were out of loaners (because I didn't requested it). They offered me 05 Infinity FX35(black) from Enterprise. I didn't mind B)
  4. My has 205K, looks fair, right? B) Just put chrome 16 from 96 SC400. Some pictures after and before

  6. Yes, it looks hard from first sight, but if you did T-belt by yourself, you can do this one too. First af all intake manifold needs to be removed. To do that you have to disconnect all pipes and hoses that go to the manifold from passengers side and some from drivers side. This part of the job takes most time. Don't remove all of them, just nessesary things, to let you lift manifold up and hang it to the hood using some rope. There are also 2 brackets behind manifold - next to firewall - is not too much room, but these 2 bolts needs to be removed. When you free-up manifold from all of the toys you can take off 2 bolts and 2 nuts that hold it and hang the manifold. You may need new gasket for intake. Then you have to loose wiring harness that goes on the top of valve cover - remove five 10-millimetr nuts on different sides of harness and hang harness too. Then you ready to remove valve cover :D Again, it's is not too easy, don't mix-up vacuum hoses - mark them prior removing and make sure you took off all nuts that hold wiring harness - I said there is 5, but it may be more, I don't remember now. And make sure you put everything back! B). Also, after you took off manifold, cover intake holes by some rag - if you drop something into them you'll be in trouble :( . Good luck!

  8. What kind of warranty company is it? Let us know to stay away from them in future <_<
  9. Less then a year ago C&D tested group of luxury sedans over $80K - S430, 745Li, A8(new), XJ8, Phaeton and LS430. LS won - 1st place. So, I guess they know about us. B)
  10. You didn't change your diameter - 235 is a wideness(mm). It won't hurt you.
  11. Just bought 99 ES with 108K miles for my friend for $9K in Virginia. Exellent condition, all service records from Lexus dealer, 90K and T-belt done. Not sure about prices in GA, but your seems a little high.
  12. I think it's overpriced... You can get REALLY good looking custom rims with tires for up to $2K or less. Go to www.tirerack.com or E-bay.
  13. Look here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=43948 They show all the parts that you need. Remove your glove box and you'll see which parts you missing. Good luck!
  14. Yes, that panel in the glove box needs to be replaced. If you buying complete CD changer set, it's included. But if you bought used one, you have to get that panel. They are different because of interior color, so you'll need your trim color code when you'll order that panel from the dealer.
  15. Could you give us a zip-code of that area, so I can find out how far is from me? Thanks! B) SK, will you come? Would be very nice to see your car real
  16. Is airbags OK? If so, it is not total ;)
  17. Where did you buy replacement contacts?
  18. Yes, it's really annoying, especially when it's happens every time when you apply brakes But it starts doing that couple of days ago, before everything was fine. It shouldn't work like this, so there is a problem somewhere. I'm wondering where???
  19. Frend of mine has 2001 RX300 with 54K miles on it. His ABS starts to work very early - while braking under normal conditions on dry road.It feels like you driving on ise, but the car stops faster of course - because it's dry asphalt! It happens every time when you apply brakes - not even hard. Especialy between 20-40 mph. It's definetely ABS problem, because when I remove fuse for ABS, the car brakes fine. When I put it back - the brake pedal starts to jump and knock as soon as I touch it. ABS light is not on, so I can't check trouble codes. Sensors and connections looks fine Any ideas?
  20. Dealer's mechanics or any other professional shop remove crankshaft pulley bolt in 30 seconds by using impact wrench gun. They use special puller to pull out pulley from the crankshaft, but nothing special to open bolt.
  21. I agree with jragosta, and also it sounds pretty rude - "Go BLEEP yourself!" same as all character of replays given to CUSTOMER, doesn't matter if he right or not.
