  1. Hi, I recently got my bumper grazed really well when I was in a parking lot. Had parked at a friends place and when I came back the left side of my bumper was sporting some graze marks. I've done some searching on the forums and seen some posts about repainting the body of the car, but haven't found anything with regards to the bumper. I was wondering if anyone knows how I could either repair this myself (any diy's?) or if anyone could suggest a good body shop in the Seattle area where they could do this for me? I've attached images of the damage. Thanks in advance for any inputs :)
  2. Hi All, Looks like this post came just in time. Its time to change my tires and I seem to have the same confusion. Yoko's or Michelin's. I see Barkley went with the Michelin's and I think that is going to be my choice as well. Just wanted to know one thing... Were all the Michelin's referred to above the Michelin Primacy MXV4 (215/55R-17 94H RRBL) H Rated tires or the Michelin Energy MXV4 S8 (P215/55R17 93V BMW B ) V rated tires? Thanks in advance.
  3. Hi All, Recently had a bad run with my windshield. One star crack and another much longer crack within a span of 2 months. I never replaced it for the star, just got it fixed, but now I'm going to have to replace the windshield. I went to my Lexus dealership and they told me that the original would cost me $1200 to get it fixed, but they can get me the after market (sans the Lexus logo) for $715. I can get it for much cheaper outside (the after market). So my question basically is, do you think its better to get it done through the after market at Lexus, or is it ok to go with a third party? I checked with them with regards to the warranty and they said all other parts of the car would be covered as usual, but any work pertaining to the windshield would not be covered if it were done outside (which makes sense), but which makes me wonder whether its worth paying the price difference and going with the Lexus dealership. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  4. I had me 2nd crack on the windshield today. The first was a spot crack and I got that fixed (it tarnished the look though). Today another one chipped the shield and its now quite a big crack extending from the corner of the shield all the way almost to the middle. Any idea how much a shield costs for a Lexus ES350 2007 model? Also how much it might cost to get it changed? I stay in Houston too, this is annoying when the windshield cracks.
  5. Afaik there isn't a pause button per se. Turning it off is basically the same as pausing it. When you switch it on again, it just continues where it left off...
  6. Its true that you cannot operate the Nav and Phone features when you are driving. However, you can use voice commands to operate them. The downside is that it doesn't always pick up the pronunciation of names of places (for the GPS), so it starts to get annoying after a while. For the phone however you can actually record the names, so it should be able to do a pretty decent match.
