  1. I am looking for all passenger window switches. (Maybe the master swtich if I can disassemble to use on passenger sides.) None of my passenger window switches will roll the window up. Also I am looking for a cupholder assembly because the folding prong on my passenger side broke off.
  2. As the title suggests, when i am driving around and hit even the smallest bump, I hear a platic clicking on my sunroof. From the top of the car, the sunroof looks aligned properly. When I reach up from the inside of the car for anything loose, I feel a bar spanning across the back of the sunroof that may be the culprit of the noise making. Because when I hold it down I don't really hear it anymore. What should I do with it, other than taping it down and making it look horrendous?
  3. Yea, I have to deal with that too on my 97' ES. =T
  4. This is on sale at Newegg.com: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...3-348-_-Product Should I go for this instead? No bluetooth functions, USB, remote, and not HD Radio ready. I think it may look better though.
  5. How come when I subscribe to a topic that I started, it disappears from my control panel after like a week? Is there a time limit to how long you can subscribe to a topic? Even if I change the restrictions on how many days, I still don't see it. I only started it about 2 weeks ago too.
  6. I would like to set up a snowboard rack on my 1997 ES300 now that it's winter time, and I plan to go often. I know that the actual snowboard rack is usually universal to hook up with any roof mounts, or gutters? But I do not have the roof mounts and I need help finding ones that would fit my car. Has anybody tried setting one up or know where I can get one online or preferably in Boston, MA?
  7. I think single DIN would look unattractive as well becuase there will be so much extra space, even with the extra compartment. That's just my opinion though. I have the regular black plastic dash. I just need some help with the wiring if anybody has any experience with this. I found this on ebay, which is supposed to help with hooking up the stereo. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lexus-Es300...Q5fInstallation I still need to find out how to set up the power, mic, and usb cables though. <_< Also now that I realize it, I don't think I need the $40 double DIN kit when I can just keep the DIN mount I have now and get this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=130257865005 Links for the install and manual: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/StaticFi...nManual0228.pdf http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/StaticFi...nManual0228.pdf
  8. So I would like to swap out my old radio for my 97 ES300 for a new aftermarket. The lcd is gone, and so has the lights behind the buttons. I am looking at the Pioneer FH-P8000BT or FH-P800BT (any one know what the difference is?). It offers mp3 CD playback, bluetooth handsfree, mp3 player capability, and other stuff. Smitty recommended this double DIN rack to me, http://www.scosche.com/products/productID/576. I would like to take full advantage of what this Pioneer radio has to offer. First of all, I need help with the wiring. I've included pictures (from crutchfiled.com) that shows what comes with the radio. Is there anything else I will need to hook it up to my car's speakers? Anyway to continue using the stock cd changer after I install this aftermarket, or will it be useless? I would like to somehow get the mp3 player cable and A/V cables to feed to the glove box or ashtray so I can plug in any electronic devices I may want to use. Please help me with this project as this thread will be usefull for all of us. Sold Seperately

  10. Wow, that etronics is selling for a lot cheaper. Still, will this Pioneer unit fit in my '97 ES300? http://www.etronics.com/p-39271-pioneer-fh...d-receiver.aspx
  11. My power window switches for all of my passenger doors are not working properly. They roll down and/or up slowly or not at all. When I use the master switch on the driver's side, all four windows roll up and down correctly. I'd like to get a spare switch to see if it is indeed a faulty switch or faulty wiring. Any suggestions where to find them in the Boston area? I was thinking about maybe ordering from Toyota?
  12. I've tried weghing the benefits of fixing the stock radio I have now to buying a newer radio. Trying to fix my radio would mean replacing the LCD (which doesn't seem so hard), seeking out the bulbs to replace the lights behind the radio buttons and soldering them in (which I've never done). If I just go with the new radio option, I would need to find a matching faceplate and spend more money. With the new radio option however, I could benefit using mp3 CD and player options, bluetooth phone connectivity, HD Radio options, and maybe Nav options (looking to spend under $500). I really just want the mp3 playback capabilities, and not have to fix the LEDs behind my buttons because it sounds tedious. Anyways, I'm living in the Boston area and I'm looking for a good place to go to get a good deal, where I can find a matching faceplate (I've seen this one on ebay), and maybe installation. Is it just a regular DIN or double DIN slot that I'd have to match up? Is there any special cable that I would have to get to make it work in my Lexus? I really like this Pioneer one from Best Buy, but I think on circuitcity.com it says it's not compatible with my car. I don't know why. Please advise.
  13. Hey, if I'm getting charged $300 for the part and $160 for labor in Boston, MA is that a reasonable price? It's a friend of the family who is doing this for me. They spent an hour diagnosing the problem for no charge. I think they should be legit. But let me know what you guys think.
