  1. Hey everyone, I am in the market for some winter tires and i've been hearing a lot about the Nokian Hakkapeliitta R. I have had their WR-G2's but im looking for something with a little bit better winter performance since moving to Wisconsin. The Hakka R seems to get pretty stellar reviews online, and i guess they are pretty reasonably priced in the size i need. I understand that Blizzaks and X-Ice's are cheaper but they are terrible - i've had them in the past and i have only got 1-2 seasons max out of them. Anyway, i was just wondering if anyone had an experience with driving on the Nokians? Wasn't sure how they would hold up on a heavier vehicle like the new RX330. This is somewhat time-sensative because the "ChristmasJuly" coupon they have right now expires at the end of August and id like to take advantage of the $40 off per set and free shipping on all Nokians. Thanks!

  3. +1 on the Nokian's. I know the RSi has recently been replaced with the Hakkapeliitta R. From what I understand, Nokian has improved upon the RSi 10% overall and the Hakka R is labeled Ultra Low Rolling Resistant: http://www.tiresbyweb.com/p-7147-nokian-hakkapeliitta-r.aspx These are a little more than some of other studless winter tires out there, but in talking with Josh at Tiresbyweb (they seem to be one of the few that stock Nokian) you get what you pay for. Winter tires are the safest way to roll!
  4. I have heard all good things about Nokian tires. Anybody currently have Nokian?
