Yeah I was a little disappointed. If you look at US cars it says BRAKE with (!) above or below it very small. Oh well live and learn. Glad I got a English Manual coming soon. Hopefully that will stop me from having to pay $$ for stupid things that could be solved if I could read the manual. Hope some of you got a laugh at this

Well we figured out what the ploblem was. I feel stupid on one hand however I never owned a car w/ DRL and the only manual I had was in French, so I don't feel that bad. The emergency brake had been put on slightly (I must have kicked it) causing the (!) light to come on and the DRL to turn off. I did not think of theis becasue I never use the Ebrake its an automatic. The dealership felt bad so they ordered me a New owner's manual in English and only charged me $40 labor as they went through the whole car and said everything was fine.

Well I changed the 9005 bulbs and no dice so it went to the dealership where I bought the car today. If they do not figure it out I'll bring it to Lexus after atempting the relay check. Thanks

Someone please help the ! light came on in my 98 gs400. I do not have US owner manual as the car is from Canada (French). SO I do not know what is going down. Yes I am in the process of getting a US English manual. When I came home, I noticed that my DRL were not on. However the high beams still worked. In 98 the low beam is the High beam @ 50%. So I popped the bulbs out and they did not appear to be burned out (only a slight ash spot on the top of both bulbs/ but nothing looked broken). 9005 is single filiment correct? Plus I have never seen two bulbs go out at the same time. Any Suggestions? I looked at all the fuses under the hood and none were burnt out. I am also going to replace the bulbs (9005) to see if something went freaky with them. Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks

I have a question. Can I put spacers on my 17" chrome stock lexus wheels to push them out a little? I am hoping this will make the wheel more flush with the wheel well. Is there going to be any problems w/ spacers? Can I even use them? Where can I get them? I do not even know what they are. Someone said I should get them to push the tires out a little. I assume they go between the rotors and the rim. However I don't understand. Will the studs be long enough? maybe I am just confused? I like the look of my 17" rims as my car is lowered. Now I am just looking for the flush side look of wider rims to tide me over until I have enough scratch to buy 18 or 19" rims. Thanks

Where do I get the touch up pen? I have never see them before. All I can find is the small tube with a small brush (like white-out style for your car). Thanks

What is the best system to repair paint chips? I have seen some repair kits advertised. I think one company began with an L. The chips are on my hood above the autobond (clear factory installed film on the front of the car). It is annoying because I have a black GS and the chips are very obvious to the eye. However the chips do not go down to the bare metal. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

Thanks guys Neo I have a 98 GS400 as well. I only have the night time running lights as I call them (wedge lights). I think that our day time running lights are our high beams running at a lower wattage.

Neo I am sold with your pic's. I just bought a set of M4's on ebay for $10 shipped. Did you replace your high beams with whiter bulbs? If so did it improve the looks of the day time running lights? Thanks

S2, How easy was the install of the M4s? I have yet to look into the engine compartrment to see if there is room to work with the lights. Thanks

Last night I found that one of my " night time" running lights was out. I am looking to replace the pair. I want a nice bright white light as I do not like the look of them next to my HID's. I have heard talk of Polarg m4's being the best and brightest stock replacemnt. Then I heard of a 4 or 6 LED replacement that is whiter and brighter. What is correct? Where to to buy (the best)? What is everone running for lights? Also I heard that the day time running lights are actually the high beams @ 50%. If so can I replace the bulb with something whiter and brighter? If so what do you suggest? I just think the yellow bulbs make the car look cheap. thanks

I think it is the one that stays in the engine bay. It is about 2 ft long. I have not bothered to open the hood to see where it goes. I believe the filter ends up where the air box is located. Sorry new to this stuff. Thanks

I think it is the cold air. They sell it on Lextacy. That is the one I have.

I bought a Akimoto cold air kit off ebay for cheap $$. My 98 GS 400 has the stock air box w/ K&N now. Am I going to get much gain w/ the Akimoto? Also in the directions for the Akimoto it does not state to disconnect the battery or fuse to the computer. Don't you have to to reset the computer or is the computer smart enough to change what it needs to? I don't want to waste my time putting it in wrong or putting it in if I am not going to get much out of it. I caught it at the end of the auction and picked it up for 75% less than brand new. It is in perfect condition. Thanks

MrSypher, Any brand? I have seen Millen, LTuned, TRD, RVM, ect for tower braces. What brands would you recomend for different suspension pieces? Cost? easy to install? ect Thanks
