  1. 1. Gen3 RX350's handle much better than the Gen1 and Gen2. I have the a Gen 2 04 rx330 and a gen 3 10 rx350. My RX350 handles like a car and is VERY fun to drive on the highway taking corners. I really the gen 3's, more nimble and again tuned for more driver enjoyment. 2. If you get the ultra premium package then the leather is very soft and supple. If not, then the leather is a bit harder. Overall, build quality of the interior is great, but nothing like the gen1 rx300. As time goes by, costs go up and blah blah, so the cars nowadays don't have the same quality interior as the 80's and 90's Toyota out there. But the interior on the new IS and GS is a huge turnaround than previous. I do like the interior of the Gen3 more than the gen2, but still a bit plastic imho. 3. Still cannot adjust regardless what seat you're in when the vehicle moving. Lame!!! 4. Still timed. Hope this helps.
  2. You need the smart key to unlock the wheel. Have smart key in your pocket somewhere, press and hold the brake down, turn the steering wheel a bit, then press the start button and that will unlock the wheel and start the car.
  3. I've heard great things about the yoko's, I think i'll have to try out the bridgestone dueler's though, bridgestone is one of my fav tires :D
  4. So it's not just me that's had probs with the michellin's...interesting. I've heard a lot of good things about the goodyears recently.I've tried out the Toyo summer performance tires on my gen1 IS, and they suck nuts.
  5. Same response here for my gen2 rx. Dealership said the same thing, however attributed this to fuel rails and said there is an upgrade to quite this...but $$$. So I said forget it and have been living with the tick for the past 4+ years now.
  6. Found this on the Gen 2 RX forum: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/topic/71177-michelin-tire-wear/
  7. I've gone through 3 pairs of Michellins: 2 sets on my Gen 2 RX330 1 set on my Gen 3 RX350 I find the Michellins to wear out faster, the tread just also seems to be "less" than other tires? Dunno...maybe just me. Anyway, I've given the Michellins 3 tires now, and I can tell you they are the worst tires I've had - all 3 sets. Don't like them, but my opinion of course. I too am looking for a replacement set, so anything for recommendations would be great for me too.
  8. Where did you buy the anteq from? i have the 2010 RX, unfortuante that my 2006 IS has 2 settings for the TPMS sensors, but the RX only has one.
  9. i prefer oem, but weathertech is really really good.
  10. A lot of the items you have listed, can't be added on afterwards, or at least not for minimal dollar amount. Lexus generally doesn't wire their vehicles like the some of the BMW's. If you're looking to add those on, you may want to sell yours and find one that has those options....that would be the cheapest way to do it imho.
  11. Has anyone done this to their RX? My understanding is that a staggerd setup on an AWD is NOT a good idea as they will lead to possible tranny probs down the road. However, i've been told that if you keep the diameters between the front and back the same or pretty damn close < ~1% difference, then you should be able to run a staggered setup. I'm a fan of the staggered setups especially after taking a good look at the BMW X5's. Anyways, i'm thinking of running the following setup: Front: 235/55/18 - Stock size Rear: 255/50/18 - Wider rear size Difference in diameter? The back will be ~0.5% faster is my understanding. But damn close to the Fronts so this shouldn't cause any issues. Thoughts, ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

  15. We have had our '04 RX since Apr '03, and have had the ticking noise since then. I reported it a couple times under warranty and was told it is normal and it was not lifters or anything else that was a problem. My wife drives it most of the time, but I think the ticking noise diminishes as the engine gets fully warmed. I wouldn't worry about it. It is an excellent vehicle and very well built with high quality materials. I acutally looked into this. Thought it was the valves and they just needed adjustement. Dealership said it is a well known issue from Lexus, and that it isn't the valves, in fact it is the fuel injectors and the rails. Apparently there is an upgrade kit out there to resolve this, but Lexus of course is charging a significant of money. Price wise i cannot remember how much anymore. But basically, its normal and live it is what they said...unless you want to shell out some money for the ugrade kit.
