  1. I have the same problem. Furthemore, the steering wheel is obstrucvting the view of the blinking arrows on the dashboard.
  2. IS 250AWD Toronto, Ontario to Philadelphia, PA, and back. Toronto to Ottawa and back through the Algonquin Park. Beautiful ride
  3. I checked the manual of my 2008 IS250AWD and couldn't find the answer to my problem. My hearing is not perfect (am 65years old) and cannot hear the buzzer, if any, when the turn signal is occasionally left on. Additionally the view of the flashing lights in the instrument cluster is obstructed by the steering wheel. Is there any way to make the buzzer louder. Thanks
  4. You live in Sweden and most likely you get snow for many months a year. I suggest you look for a AWD IS250 instead than a rear wheal drive IS250. I live in Canada and have a AWD and I'll tell you it is much better and safer with the snow.
  5. It may be in Canada but apparently it is not in the USA as far as lexus is concerned
  6. As I said I was on the road in Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia and was supposed to go back to Toronto the day after, a 600 miles trip on highways. The tire pressure light came on the day before and I checked the pressure and was a bit low. I put some aire but the next morning again the light came on. I went to a Midas store first, they checked and said everything was ok but few miles later the light went on again, that why I decided to visit a lexus dealership since my car was under warranty. The dealership was Lexus of Chester Springs,PA. The invoice was for a total of USD342.33 equal to CAD420. If you visit Lexus Canada website you will see that indeed they are covering tire road hazard.
  7. Last October I was traveling in Pennsylvania and suddenly my tire pressure monitoring system light came on. I took my car to a nearby Lexus Dealership for an inspection. They told me that my front left tire had a whole and need to be replaced. My car is a IS250AWD with only 4000 miles on it. I asked if was covered by lexus warranty and told that Lexus does not cover so called road hazards for tires. Bottom line it cost me USD420 to replace it. Once back home in Toronto, Canada I checked on the Lexus Canada website and noticed that road hazards for tire are indeed convered by the lexus warranty. I went to my local Lexus dealer (KenShaw lexus) and they applied to Lexus Canada for a refund on my behalf. Today I received a cheque for CAD399 in the mail. Considering the exchange rate fluctuation, I almost got a full refund for what I paid in USA. Anybody can explain to me why Lexus has a different warranty for tires in Canada and in the USA?
  8. I took my car to the Lexus dealership in Toronto. They changed the brake pads and also a "shim kit". The brake pad spare part no. was 04465-63030, different from the one you indicated in your earlier replies. Does this make a difference? Also what is a "shim kit"? Anyhow, the dust has gone and so is the squeak. When Iasked to repalce the brake pad the people at lexus warned me that the brake efficiency could be different but they did not speculate on "what is the difference". So far I did not notice any difference from the past.
  9. The person who said it won't help has no clue. The new pads are sooooooooo much better! I haven't noticed any braking feel differences, no squeal, and the rims stay looking nice no matter how much brake dust there seems to be on them. Instead of that dark brown/grey/black powder coating that would develope on the front rims as the wheels get dirty, now it just looks not shiny any more, like the rim just loses it's lustre, but it's atleast the same color now! Even when you haven't washed them for a few weeks. may be I'm a little bit naive but I dont know what TSB means, could you please explain it to me. Thanks.
  10. My IS250AWD is two month old and runs very well with the only exception of brakes: dust and noisy. Almost every time I depress the brake pedal after a stop at a traffic light the brakes make a noise. I noticed it does it more often if the stop last a minute and I keep depressed the pedal hard during the stop. Any suggestion on what that may be. Thanks * I merged this post in this topic as this covers your issue. Smooth 1
