  1. Thanks for the info on the Main/2nd button underneather the passenger side, just below the glovebox on my 09 RX 350. This was accidentally depressed and caused the Low Tire Pressure warning light to illuminate as flashing for 10 or so blinks and then turning to a constant on condition. As soon as I switched the button back out to "Main" the TPMS light went out!! Thank you
  2. FZ6 Dude, I recently had a very similar issue with the rear hatch on my RX 330...when I would press the button on the key fob it would begin to open, maybe a 1/2 inch and then it would just latch back closed. Took it to the dealer and they said it was the electronic control unit that controls the operation of the rear hatch. Dealer replaced the ECU (PN: 89222-0E020 - computer, $486 plus $140 for labor) under warranty :D and all is well...works like new again. Hope that helps.
  3. I have 129,000 on my 99 RX 300 FWD. I have changed the engine oil every 3,000 and the ATF Fluid every 30,000 and have had very few problems with my RX. At about 100,000 I had the rear main seal replaced as it had developed a small oil leak, I think that was about $700 at my local Lexus dealer to fix. Currently I have the burned out "D" light in the instrument cluster that just recently happened and I have noticed the air flow/temp servos beginning to make some some noise in the AC system. Otherwise just routine maintenance items like belts, brakes, tires, coolant, spark plugs, battery etc. If I keep it much longer I plan on replacing the struts as the ride is beginning to get a little rough, especially when compared to my newer RX 330. Overall I have NO complaints with my 99 RX 300, it has been a GREAT vehicle. :D
  4. I would like to know what options are out there as well. Thanks in advance for the help.
  5. A couple of years ago my RX300 clock would reset itself each night for about a week just before the car battery failed and needed to be replaced. I would guess that the voltage was dropping below some set threshold during the night and the clock was reset. New battery and all was fine with the clock. Hope this helps.
  6. I have had the exact same window sticking issue with my 04 RX330. I live in a hot/humid South Texas climate. My Lexus service advisor told me over the phone that I should clean the window and the rubber gaskets/seal surface with "denatured alcohol" and then apply Toyota silicone lubricant to the gasket surfaces. He suggested that it was a combination of wax/soap residue that just needed to be removed. I cleaned the gaskets and applied silicone lubricant this past week and it has helped. There is no longer a line of material on the glass when I open the windows after a few hot afternoons. I would say that it is about 90% solved. The 2 back windows don't stick at all now. I am going to clean the gasket/seal surfaces one more time with alcohol and reapply the silicone lubricant. If this continues I plan on having the service department address it on my next scheduled maintenance. I will post back if the problem is completly gone after the next cleaning. Darrell
  7. I tried the Soft Scrub on my 99 RX300 headlamp lenses and it worked really well. My lens covers look almost like new again. I followed up with a couple of coats of wax. I'll report back in a month or so as to how it holds up. Thanks for the tip.
