  1. It is a very easy DIY - and yes you will notice a difference because the rubber was totally seperated from the mounting bracket for who knows how long -
  2. Awesome Sauce!!! Thanks Micah - im conversing with the seller now...
  3. 4. Outside Rear View Mirror NEW for 1998-2000 The design of the outside rearview mirror has been changed to reduce the wind noise which is created between the vehicle body and the mirror. A reverse linked function has been adopted. In this function, the passenger side outside rearview mirror faces downward when the shift lever is engaged in the R range and the selector switch for the outside rearview mirrors is engaged in the driver side, thus providing a downward view when driving in reverse. wow i never really noticed wind noise at the mirrors at any speed on my 95 LS, must have gotten use to it!
  4. $40 to $74?? can you elaborate some more on the locations of these?? Thanks!
  5. Feeling your pain Micah...im needing one also, trash can took mine out.
  6. FAIL!!!
  7. Thanks so much, How much is he asking for it and will he ship it out?
  8. Thanks Omar G but mine is black - didnt know it looked blue in the pic! im looking at the site now sbguy. thanks!!
  9. very nice!! the wheels arent that bad, if you want to get rid of them, let me know - cause I have 2 on mine that are warped and need replaced!
  10. Congrats!! I think that's a good price for a serviced non wrecked 99 - enjoy and post pics!!
  11. Within the LS430 years(2001-2006) is there any which may be more "desirable" over another? Or known problems in which to steer clear? Now that I have had some time to drive my LS430, I have to say that it is a nicer ride than my 98 LS400. Feels more refined and tighter fitting all around. No noticeable throttle lag like the 98. I am wowed. Love the color. Changes with the light. Mystic. "Its an 'orse of a different color" Although I like the lines on the 98-00 a little better, the 430 is growing on me. now for my wife I have been trying my best to convince her to get an LS430, but she says they look like "old people" cars. she likes the Bodystyle of the new 460, but that purchase is many years down the road. she will just have to keep pushing the Honda till then!
  12. Thanks RDM and Steve - i did the salvage yard scan yesterday through a different site, and started getting emails and calls like crazy!! and half were scammers, dude tried to get my credit over the phone and send me a mirror for $465 and told me these Lexus parts go really fast so i need to get it now! so I asked him how does he sleep at night?! then hung up. I will just keep searching till I find the right "honest" deal. i will note the driver side for overseas, I didnt even think of that - thanks! driving to work and attempting to change lanes is more difficult now for sure, that mirror is always my go to spot and it kills me just seeing the guts of it.
  13. have you checked to see if there are any error\check engine codes??
  14. I will drive my 95 LS "standard business only class" LOL till it cant go anymore - if you compare all the models, in my opinion the 95 & up LS400 models are the best "budget without financing" vehicles especially if you find one just around 100k - bought mine at 186K and changed the belt and fluids and as a mild/wild mechanic it was a piece of cake - (comparitavely much easier than changing a Honda V6 timing belt. also the 95 to 97 models are slightly lighter and have slightly better gas mileage than the rest of the LS's (if you believe Edmunds Database). so anyways Happy Hunting and hope you land a good one!
  15. short story - cruising at 50 mph - up a hill with a hidden driveway closing in, narrow road, car coming from other direction - Garbage cans set halfway in the rd and bam!! destroyed my mirror w/memory setting. So quotes I have recieved from used parts places are: $465 $350 $285 $198 and some quotes are still coming in - any parts places you guys can recommend?? I miss the mirror already, didnt ever need to look over my shoulder in the LS. Thanks, Heart Broken club member:
  16. thanks fellas - sweeet black 99 ya got there, you have achieved the deep wet look nicely. I will have to remember to be careful with the propriatary fasteners when i start removing the gray panels - Good tip. after the fresh paint and leather, rims and treads next hopefully - planning to keep this ride for a good minute.
  17. I would really like to change my 2-tone paint scheme to all Black - the 2-tone is just getting too old school for me and i like the solid color look on the LS's - any opinions or do's and dont's about this??
  18. After a good bath and waxjob!!

    95' LS 400

before pics...after pics to come soon when mods are done.
  20. Man that is an awesome buy - i look foward to getting a 2005 LS down the road, but my 95 just keeps giving me good reasons to hang on to it longer! welcome to the Club and enjoy a fine automobile for a loooong time.
  21. Once your ride gets wrecked it just doesn't have that same feel to it anymore even after it gets totally fixed. D Definately a great time to look for a new ride! Looking foward to feedback on some test drives! B)
  22. thanks for the kind words...i keep all my vehicles showroom....btw, everything I've done to it was for me, not just to sell :) thats why I have LED tails, exhaust tips, wheels and GOOD tires.... of course I'll take less than asking, but who ever pays asking price? and if i put a low price on it, someone will offer me less than that haha..gotta play the game :/ The led tailghts are sweet indeed! Great pics by the way. B)
  23. yes it happens real fast - its just like a blackout. your brain has to shut down and reboot from exhaustion kinda. it can overide anything you try to do to stay awake. very happy you and yours are safe....whatever is decided for your LS, im sure it will be for the better. keep us posted! B)
  24. stay with the same brand - you know the reliability is top notch and you will have no regrets. my next set will be mics for sure - im tired of standard tires going bad too soon. <_<
