  1. Take it in. They will check the code and go from there. Evap or a/f sensor codes are the most common. Since you have 16.5 k on it. It will be covered under warranty.
  2. Yep. Bumper has to be removed....well not totally. Just enough to get access to the grommet that the antenna cable has to run through. This is for the factory XM unit.
  3. Do you know exactly where it is leaking from? Is it the schrader valve or the valve stem or the grommet? If it is the valve stem then yeah you need a new sensor and then you have to get it registered. if it is the schrader valve just buy the tool and ask a tire store one. remove and replace. the grommet requires the fit kit which consist of grommet, washer and nut. Or I just thought of this...you if it is leaking from the grommet you may want to try tighten the nut around the valve stem. Just snug it dont overtighten the stem can break (happened to me once).
  4. There's a Technical Service Bulletin (00105), NHTSA Item Number 10018267 that addresses those symptoms. The TSB Summary reads "Grinding/groaning noise from the moon roof when tilting or opening". I've applied silicone spray and silicone grease to every moving/sliding part I could get my fingers on to no avail. Has anyone had this TSB performed on their RX330? My out-of-warranty 2004 RX330 has the exact symptoms. Does anyone have the detailed TSB that they could post? I'll print out the tsb tomorrow when I get to work. The cables need to be changed. Not hard just time consuming. you have to drop the headliner and remove the moonroof assembly
  5. bbell- If you go with Rockauto, the # you SHOULD need is Denso 2349009- same as original Toyota/Lexus 89467-41011. If you take a mirror (if your lucky, the # is facing up, if not, you'll need a mirror), the # is laser etched on the barrel of the sensor and isn't real easy to read but with a flashlight and good eyes you CAN see it. The front and rear sensors are the same so you can double check the # on the front sensor but the sensor you probably need is the rear. They are mounted in the exhaust mainifolds, front and rear. The one in the cat. conv. outlet is different. The code that you read with the obdII scanner will tell you whether it is front or rear. I believe you are much better off using original eq. Denso sensors- from whatever source you choose to get them. B2S1 will be front (easy one) and B1S1 will be the rear exhaust manifold. Good Luck! before you start make sure you spray some PB or WD40 on them to help break up the rust and if you can find the o2 sensor tool that looks like the close end of wrench use that instead of the socket one with the slit down the side.
  6. slide the console as far back as possible. move both front seat forward and you may have to tilt the seats up so you have access. there are 2 panels on each side. they pop off with the help of a flat head screwdriver. with the panels off you'll see 6 10 mm bolts. 3 on each side remove the bolts. on the right side you'll see a cable attached to a lever unhook the cable from the lever. lift the front of the console there is a connector and a clip. disconnect the connector and clip that hold part of the wireloom to the air duct. now just lift and it should come out. the front of the console (cupholder side) comes off. Its held by clips and the cupholder are held in by screws.
  7. but does this allow for the ipod to b controlled through the car system.....to see the music list on the navigator screen...the volume control on the car....to control the music played using the selecter knobs of the car thanx finco Vais make one for Lexus where you can control your ipod through the head unit and it and if you have a video ipod lets you watch whatever through the Nav screen. Only thing is you can't pick the video from the head unit you still have to use the Ipod.
  8. There is a Vais Ipod kit we sell. lets you control your Ipod through the head unit. Not sure if they make a Lexus one if they do dont buy it. The Vais one does more.
  9. There is also 3 or 4 holes you have to drill into the trunk. There is a huge template you have to lay over the trunk and tape down.
  10. If I remember correctly (I should I just did one for an a/c drain leak, it's sunday) the rear seat cushion just lifts up there are 2 clips holding it down. One on the left and right. Just put your hand under the front of the seat and pull up. You might have to give a good pull cause they sometimes stick. Do that for the other side. Once they are out just slide up and out. There should be 4 12 mm bolts that hold the bottom of the seat down. Remove the 12s and the seat should slide up. You might have to take out the headrests first just so you have some room.
