  1. I took a short 2 hour drive down to Macon and back in my 93' SC400. The next day my wife noticed it wasn't putting out any heat through the vents. White smoke started coming out from under the hood. As the car was being driven back home, it started to over heat. As the temp got hot, heat started to come through the vents. Then the heat stopped and the temp would rise again. Upon looking at the car I have a leak in the upper part of the radiator behind the fan shroud. Did this happen from a faulty thermastat, or heater core valve? Is it possible I could use some "stop leak" instead of getting a new radiator? (yes, I'm trying to be cheap :whistles: ) A little help would be appreciated.
  2. Do you need just the headunit ? Yep. Do you have one you wanna let go of?
  3. Bought a 94 ls400 for 2,000 (repo :( ) yesterday. I want to put the factory radio back in. Anybody have 1 for sale? I also need key fab and spare tire.
  4. Can't get to the last two bolts that hold the p/s/ pump in. Is there a trick to getting the last two bolts in the back of the p/s pump off. ?
  5. first check the level of the fluid.top up and bleed if required. if your p/s pump is starting to make noises then it is coming to the end of its life especially if it is the original, there is a refubishment kit available for it, but it may be beyond an amateur to fit without workshop facilities, however taking the old pump off and replacing it is not difficult, but it is imperative that the air is bled out of the system after refilling the system with fluid, this can be done by running the engine and taking the steering from lock to lock at least twenty times or untill all the minute bubbles stop appearing. I appreciate your advice. I'll give it a go this week and let you know how it turns out.
  6. My 93 SC400 started to make loud sounds when turning the wheel. p/s fluid is at correct level. Was told about a filter that may be clogged due to worn out tubes. Does that sound right?Where's this filter? if that's not the problem, how difficult would it be for me to put in a new pump myself? Thanks in advance.
