  1. It may also be part of the underbody carriage, as lexus had a minor recall on one of the underbody panels, to replace one that makes a high pitched whistling sound on the freeway at certain angles. It has happened to me, and I actually got a Lexus CPO recall index card, but when I went in to have this part replaced, it was on back-order. Anyway, it is a very small problem.
  2. how many different things can turn this light on? I was told by someone that it could be close to 200. Is this close to accurate?
  3. 2" is not too much. Drop that !Removed!.
  4. Yes, I saw a segment on Speed Channel and they said that it is going to be the LFC concept body, and they are finally introducing Lexus in Japan.
  5. Yes, because you will spend more on repairs in the next 50,000 miles. However, be sure to carefully read your warranty contract to make sure you know what is covered. Those companies sometimes try to pull crap like exempting themselves out of covering big stuff. Also, why didn't you buy a CPO Lexus?
  6. Like maybe a tint that is shaded to my body color (dark green '01) but there isn't anything I can find out there that is different. If it comes down to it, I would rather have no tint on my car than just regular dark or charcoal-colored tint. Any suggestions?
  7. Hey, just a quick question that I know some of you should have the answer to. I have just got XM, and I want to hide the wires behind the stereo. However, I can't find where to start to take apart the stereo face. I went on to: http://www.carstereohelp.com/stereoremoval.htm and they do not have instructions for an IS-300. Well, fortunately, I called the guy that runs that website, and his shop is only about 40 miles from my house, so he told me told bring the IS over so he could look at it, figure it out, and put it on the internet for free for all the other IS owners. However, I won't have a chance to get out there for a little while, so I wanted to try this first. Any advice? Thanks
  8. Well, it finally happened. Got my 2001 dark green CPO IS-300 with only 26,000 miles on it! I am fired up, and have already put some Tein springs (1'' in front and 1 1/4'' rear) and new Yokahama AVS Sports. I am just loving it, and I just found this site, so I wanted to say hello to everyone, and see if I am posting this the right way. Also had to get some Lexusownersclub stickers too. One question- I just got XM and want to hide the wires behind the stock stereo, but at an initial look, I could not see where to start. Can someone help? Thanks, and it is nice to know there are people that love these cars as much as I do. By the way, Chevy is trying to bust into this "tuner" market with a new car for 2005. Look for it, because it is weak...
