  1. Hello everyone. Just thought I'd chime in since I had/have a similar desire for my 1990 LS400. I ended up getting Flowmaster Delta 50 series mufflers. However it seems that there is much, much more muffling going on in the exhaust system than the rear mufflers. I wasn't going for an all out racing sound and that's why I got the Delta 50s, just they didn't make much of a difference at all. I can only hear a difference if I'm standing behind my car real close. But like i said there seems to be much more going on in there that I might fiddle with in the long run.
  2. I was looking at my engine today and noticed that it could be cleaner than it is right now. This got me to thinking, if I was going to go about cleaning my engine, how would I do it. I know my cousin (and some other people I know) frequently just blast their engine with a hose. But then I heard a story about someone who accidentally got their CPS wet in their Supra and had to replace it. I would like to avoid ruining electrical components, but would also like to clean my engine. I guess if it comes down to it and I need to do small spots at a time I will, but if anyone knows a better way to do it I would love to hear about it.
  3. Those ones look like they should probably fit, they seem similar to the ones I took off my Supra and put on my LS400. link That's a pic and the same size, mine are painted silver though.
  4. Sounds like bought not built to me...but no matter, if its fast I still want to see it.
  5. Yeah I took a look in there, I didn't do anything at the time because I had to be somewhere, but I found the little bundle of wires he was talking about. Anyway, none of my lights are out or the brake lights and the blown light indicator goes on and off randomly so I'm assuming that the first guy's idea is probably what is wrong with mine.
  6. Well, I notice that my broken tail light indicator keeps turning on, yet every time I go to check all my tail lights are working, and even the brake lights are working fine. Anyone know why my broken tail light indicator might be turning on randomly?
  7. You didn't keep the flat key in your wallet? I'm not sure what to do...but the owners manual says to call the Lexus dealer...
  8. Thanks for the warm welcome. I thought I might get stuck having to buy them from a dealer and eBay totally slipped my mind, I guess I could look there for some seats also.
  9. Hello everyone, I'm new to this place as you might have guessed, and I just got my first LS400 just this weekend. Overall I would say the car is in great shape, the engine runs great and the transmission is nice and smooth as is the ride. Its got 149k miles on it and almost everything electronic works (I seem to have the Trac light problem but that really is the only electrical problem). But now to my question, I have a few issues with the exterior and interior, some dents here and there on the outside, but I know what to do with those. The real question I had was both of my outer tail lights seem to have problems. One of them is cracked and the other is broken and held on the car with tape. I'm looking to fix both of those, and my first thought was to call up the local Lexus dealer and ask them how much for some new tail lights, but I thought that might be overly expensive and figured I should maybe ask around for a better alternative first. Also on the interior both of my front seats have rips in them...an the steering wheel looks kind of ratty. Again my first thought was to call the Lexus dealer but I figured I would ask here instead. Anyway that's about it. I really love this car so far and I really look forward to getting involved around here a bit more.
