  1. As promised: Measurements of the Air Conditioner Cabin Air Filter (OEM part #88880-24020). It comes with two peices (one which seems to slide to the back first) each peice is 1.9 cm in width and contains two filter squares joined by a flexible plastic hinge. Each box is 9.5 cm by 11 cm (on the longer, hinged side). Each box contains about 30 folds 8.5 cm in length. So in total you need two pairs of filter boxes. Each pair is connected. Hope this made sense, and helps. Apologies for the metric measurements! :D Kevin.
  2. I gave in and just called the dealer. $50 (cdn). It is part number 88880-2420. Should be picking it up today, will report back on measurements/dimensions for you DIYs. :D
  3. I just popped mine open. No filter inside, but it had plenty of dirt, dust and sand. Where can I get a filter? Are they available at a parts store or do I have to go to a dealer? Does anyone know the part #? Thanks!
  4. I had a similar problem when I bought my sc4. It's a 1992, and needed a recharge, but I had to get the system evacuated and switched over to R134 (i think) from the original R12. Cost about $100 at my mechanic.
  5. I just had the same problem. I just got my 92 SC4 a couple months ago, and it started blowing warm air. I took it to the mechanic, and he recharged the AC system (flushing out the R12 and replacing it with R134). It seems to be all good now. :D Hope this helps.
  6. I recently bought a 92 SC4, and it only came with one remote key. I asked the dealer the same question, and they quoted me $700 for two new remote keys. They said they would have to recode all the locks and the transponders. I hope this helps.
  7. Hi all, new owner here. I just got a '92 SC 400 green last month. LOVE THE CAR, but it has a couple problems... Has anyone noticed the center console of the sc getting warm (almost hot)? On a long drive, anywhere around the gear shift is pretty warm to the touch, and I'm wondering if this is normal. Also, the CD player has a tendancy to drop out, especially when play burned CD's. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for all your help!!
