  1. I had the timing belt replaced last week in my 96 LS400 @ 150K miles (90K miles after original replacement @ 60K miles). I also had new plugs, distributor caps and rotors, and fuel filter installed (already run K&N air filter). Since then the car runs fine, but my check engine light has popped on 4 separate times, each time with code P0171, System Too Lean, Bank 1. I've already replaced both O2 sensors on Bank 1 side within the past year, so I doubt this condition involves them. Has anyone experienced this same issue? If so, what was the cause for the code? The car's going back to the tech this Friday for diagnosis - I'm hoping it's something as easy as he left a vacuum line off. Any advice/recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  2. I had the timing belt replaced last week in my 96 LS400 @ 150K miles (90K miles after original replacement @ 60K miles). While the front end was open, I also had new spark plugs, distributor caps and rotors installed (along with a new fuel filter). Since then my check engine light has popped on several times, each time with code P0171, System Too Lean, Bank 1. Since I've already replaced both O2 sensors on Bank 1 side within the past year, I'm hoping this doesn't involve them. Has anyone experienced this same issue following a timing belt replacement and/or tune-up? By all indications the car runs fine, though the mileage may have dropped 1-2 MPG since the work was done. Any advice/recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  3. I'm a new member who just purchased my first Lexus, a 96 LS400, and couldn't be happier with it. I've already looked through various Lexus Owners Club forums and found some great info. Though I need no work done now, I'm looking for recommendations on mechanics or shops in the greater Toledo Ohio area with a proven track record in servicing Lexus cars. Thanx
