I also have a 2006 gs300 rwd and seem to be having the same problem as you described. Since my warranty is past (56,000 miles) I am wondering if you found out what was wrong with the car? Thanks in advance for the help.

Today the check engine light disappeared, after I tightened the gas cap yesterday. Thanks for help.

Hi all, Recently I bought a 2006 GS300. Today I got a check engine light go on, an exclamation point in a circle (dont know what is the professional word for that light), and a traction control light came up. I ran a scan on the car and got a P0456 code. The code means that it is a Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (small leak). I am wondering if anybody else had this problem. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Luke
