  1. Please see attached link and provide your input on a poll of the 1999 RX300 AWD trani failures http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=238236
  2. The part your enquiring about is refered to tailgate stays, or tailgate strut assembly. The price from Toyota is rediculous and it is not yet available in the aftermarket. Do a search on the web and you see some McGyver-types have modified aftermarket struts to accomodate the RX hardware which is unique to this vehicle... Hence Lexus and Toyotas part number is off the charts... Good luck, Fern
  3. Can you tell me who makes the mounting bracket for the DVD players. I also have a portable 10" dvd but can't find a way of using it without it sliding off my kids lap when I hit the brakes... Thanks in advance, //Fern
  4. Any wiper blade with silicone I have found to be good. Wiper blades turn bad when rubber gets hard and brittle. PIA or BOSCH, etc... are all good. The other thing I do to improve wiper blade performance is get washer fluid with RAINX it makes a HUGE difference... Washer fluid with RAINX costs about 4 times more than conventional but how often do you really top up the reservoir? It was raining cats and dogs last week and I had the Bimmer out on the highway at 150km and didn't even have to use the wipers, thanks to the Rainx... its amazing! Cheers, Fern
  5. I'm under the impresssion the rx300 fuel filter is in the fuel tank and is lifetime.
  6. You can check out this link for the "D" drive light on dash replacement. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread...15&pagenumber=3 The link is for instructions on the RX300 but I can't see the es300 being much different. Cheers, Fern
  7. Replacing MAF sensors is expensive stuff.. I suggest you carefully remove it and clean it by spraying carb cleaner or throttle body cleaner, letting it dry and re-installing it again. Watch out for the hot wire inside the sensor if you damage it the sensor's toast. MAF sensors don't brake down as often as people think, they just require periodic cleaning. I clean mine every 50000 km Cheers, //Fern
