  1. Nope. Not unless you have uneven tread wear or other bad alignment symptoms. I just put new tires on my ls on monday and did not get an alignment. No worries.
  2. I agree curiousB pull a plug wire and see if anything changes. A coil would be my first be.
  3. You will notice no difference between the two so go with the H unless you drive 140+mph for more than 20 or 30 minutes at a time. You are already spending enough money no sense in throwing any away.
  4. SWEET I cant wait to order mine as soon as I get home from the middle of no where Nebraska. Thanks for the update. It's greatly appreciated.
  5. luxurymods.com and ebay.com. Two good places for LS parts and accessories. Lextreme.com also has some stuff, but they are more performance oriented. luxurymods is a bit pricy, but if you email them and tell them what you want and that your and LOC member you might get a discount. Good luck
  6. Exactly what RDM said. The closer to the amp the better. I didn't use an OE bolt, I just put a new one into the floor of the trunk, but an OE bolt is a better idea. BTW what is the RMS wattage of both your amp and subs? That is far more important than the peak wattage. And what kind of subs are you using out of curiosity? I have a 12" JL W0-v2 Audio with a 360 watt TMA amp.
  7. I had a very similar problem when I first got my car. It seemed to go away after I replaced the plugs and wires. I also used an excessive amount of sea-foam both through the gas and a vaccum line. That all seemed to clear it up. Another thing you might consider if you want your engine to run more smoothly is cleaning your throttle body. Mine idled and accelerated smoother afterwords.
  8. this does sound more like a TPS issue than a problem with the whole throttle body. I believe ebay has them for like $80ish.
  9. try ebay. Do you have a CEL on? For all this to be happening just because you cleaned your throttle body sounds a little weird. Check your codes before you waist your money for unnecessary parts.
  10. If you want to mess with the exhaust take the back two mufflers off. It will give you a little rumble, but nothing crazy. You can still put them back on if you want. There is no decent way to make a noticeable improvement in acceleration without spending crazy money on a turbo or supercharger. there is one aftermarket intake made for the LS and it's a piece of junk. the only place to get bigger cams is lextreme and they are more overpriced than the STEALership. If there was a decent way to make more power I would already have it done lol. BTW just to second what everyone else said, do NOT mess with the cats. You can get a good full custom exhaust for the same price as messing up one cat. do not touch them!
  11. If you want to see how the IS rims would look then check out IS400's profile. She hasn't posted in a while but she had those rims on there and they looked really nice. There should be a few ics of her LS in her profile.
  12. GREAT find. If i can find a few extra bucks I will definetly get me one and try it out. The stock sway bar is like half that diameter and I assume this new bar comes with poly bushings and not crappy rubber ones. I can't believe I never knew about this. You are awesome!!
  13. Use whatever oil you choose. It doesn't matter. FYI toyota doesn't make oil. They just buy it wholesale and slap their logo on it. Castrol GTX is one of my personal favorites dino oils. I switched to mobile 1 on 175K miles and had no problems so just regulerly change your oil and you'll be fine. As far as your PS pump, check the fluid level. If its low it will whine when you turn.
  14. try TM engineering. Google them I believe they stil sell tha Daizen sway bar bushings.
  15. My 93LS always starts, but sometimes I hear a heavy clunk at first. Like I said it still starts fine, but do I need to start getting ready for starter replacement in the near future?
  16. I've pulled a whole can through the brake line in my 93 with 185K miles and had no negative effects. I would definetly recomend Seafoam strongly. Although there is no real reason to use a whole can throught the brake line. Put enough through that you can start to see it coming out the exhaust. Usually about a third of a can is all you need. Put the rest in the gas or oil. make sure your car is warmed up before you put in seafoam, and if you put any in the oil, make sure and change your oil within 500-1k miles.
  17. Umm thx for that helpful reply... I definetly don't redline it every shift, I was just using that as an example for the shift points.
  18. Ok I will tonight, however my tach has now stopped moving completely. It just rests at 0 all the time
