  1. I'm a University professor teaching in the Manufacturing Technology area of one of the state universities in Kansas. I teach CAD and several other courses dealing with manufacturing and manufacturing materials. I have been teaching for over 25 years snd currently drive a 2001 IS300. I am looking forward to buying one of the new 2006 GS430's when they are available.
  2. I use Mobil 1 but wouldn't be afraid of any of the other synthetic major players. I use both Toyota and Mobil 1 filters. Never a problem.
  3. I only use synthetic in all of my vehicles. It has been proven in many tests to stand up to heat better and to have a lower coefficient of friction! For expensive cars I only want the best in lubrication.
  4. BMW Cruisers and a pair of Oakley Juliets!
  5. I found the answer to my own question. Rod Millen Motorsports (RMM) has a complete rear-end unit for sale that has 3:76 gears and is a direct replacement unit for the factory one. This includes the complete differential unit. Should increase performance quite a bit. RMM claims a .4 decrease in 0 to 60mph times.
  6. Run the octane that is recommended in the owners manual! If you can afford an 04' GS you can afford the recommended fuel. You only use regular in an emergency situation until you can arrive where the required fuel is available.
  7. Does anyone have any knowledge of the availability of lower gear ratio sets (3.90's or so) for the GS430? Are there any shops in the midwest (Kansas, Missouri, Indiana) that change rear gears for the GS 430's? Thanks for any help,
