  1. Emim, Great looking lights, I'm now tempted to change mine too. Do you mind finding a current posting of the light you bought on ebay? The link you provided has either been sold or was removed. Thanks,
  2. Something like this, a front, side, rear body kit that still looks good with the factory rims and without lowering the vehicle: http://www.tradecarview.com/used_car/japan%20car/toyota/harrier/6376747/
  3. I was just in Japan and noticed that many of the Toyota Harrier (or RX400h in North America) had front, side, and rear body kits. Does anyone know if Lexus (or Toyota) make any OEM body kits or do I have to get aftermarket kits?
  4. The READY light turned on for 5 seconds and it would turn off. My battery is the OEM battery. I doubt it is the battery as the car started without hesitation in 8+hrs of being parked in cold weather. After the car had been driven for 10 minutes, turned off for gas, and then the car won't start. by "car won't start" do you mean the READY light would not come on? If that is the case, it is often the 12 volt battery being weak. How old is your battery?
  5. I have a 2006 Lexus RX400h with 48,000 km (30,000 miles). Last week it was balmy -20'C (or -4'F) in Calgary. I had left the car in the park and ride lot for 8 hours (with the block heater unplugged as there was none availabe on the lot). When I picked up the car, the car started fine, and I warmed it up before driving off. After 10 minutes of driving, I stopped to fill up the car. After fill up, the car started for 5 seconds and it turned off. I was not able to start the car again. I tried right away to restart the car but was unsuccessful. Not sure what happended, I tried 10 minutes later to start the car and it started. We had the same cold weather for the next 3 days and the car started fine after I went to pick it up after work at the park and ride. I suspect it may be the filling up in cold weather that caused my car to not start. Anyone experience this before?
  6. I've been running the Kumho Road Venture in factory tire size for over 2 weeks now. They seem to have a better grip on the road than the OEM Goodyear tires that it replaced. Noise wise, it's very comparable to the OEM tires. The OEM Goodyear tires lasted me only 25,000 miles (but that includes 2 winters which I had winter tires on).
  7. Just talked to the local dealer, they said they cannot take the car in unless the Check VSC warning light stays on, which in my case, did not occur. They had suggested that my fuel cap may not be tightened up properly. I've re-tightened the fuel cap and I'll see if that fixed up the problem.
  8. I have an 06 RX400h with 20,000 miles. Three days ago after starting up from a light, a "Check VSC" warning came on. Afterwards, the ABS/Brake/Slip Control lights all came on. I was near my home and parked it in the garage for the night. The next morning/day, I get no warnings. The third day, I get the same VSC/ABS/Brake/Slip Control lights coming on again. Is this caused by switching to my winter tires? or maybe from an oil change a couple weeks ago? Anyone experienced this problem before? If so, is this covered under warranty? Thanks,
  9. Hey there fellow Canadian. I just got winter tires last winter for my 400h (although mine is a 2006 without sensors). I went to my local Lexus dealer and they say 235/65/17 would also work (and there are more choices in this size). I took this info to my local tire store and got a set of 17" generic rims with Kumho KW19 in 235/65/17 for $1100 with tax and install. Also, they did a rim fitament test before to make sure it fits. As for steel rims, there are no steel rims that would clear the brakes.
  10. That's a bargain price if it was in Canada. Local car import companies in Calgary would ask for around 42K CDN for a US imported used one like yours, and that price would still be a deal for buyers as Canadian RX 400h are still very high.
  11. Pics of 2010 RX 350 and 450h from a Japanese brochure http://www.egmcartech.com/2008/10/30/2010-...eaked-brochure/
  12. thanks smooth1 for your comments I just found out that the rim width is 7.5 instead of 7 as I had indicated yesterday (i have editted this on the original post) would the rim fit with the change? thx
  13. It is very common in Canada to have 2 sets of tires, the original tire+rims and a set of snow tires+rims. For the snow tires, i have found a used set of 07 Toyota RAV4 sport 18 inch rims for a fraction of the price of the 18" Lexus factory rims. The specs for the RX400h rims are: 18x8, 35mm offset, 5x114.3 bolt, 235/55/18 tire (are these correct?) The specs for the RAV4 rims are: 18x7.5, 45mm offset, 5x114.3 bolt, 235/55/18 tire (are these correct?) I plan to mount 235/55/18 snow tires on the RAV4 rims. Does anyone know if 235/55/18 tire on the RAV4 rims will fit my RX400h? Thanks
  14. Does anyone know if you can downsize 1" to 17" for rims/steelies? I want to get a set of winter tires on rims/steelies for my 400h so I don't have to remount the tires on the factory rims every winter/spring. Also, what size, brand, speed rating tire are you using for your winters? Thanks,
