  1. On the throttle plate linkage. The arm on the firewall side of the throttlebody that moves when you pull the throttle plate linkage open. The screw is on that. Allen wrench in the middle to hold it while you turn the nut. I don't think this is your problem. If your idle valve works, then the computer will idle the engine at what it wants to idle at. All you're doing is forcing it to move. Basically... I think you're trying to medicate a symptom of another problem, instead of actually inding & fixing your problem. Check for a vacuum leak, and check / replace the idle valve.
  2. You can take it off. It just unbolts. It's one of the changes between a Camry becoming an ES/windom. They wanted to tie the rear frame together and make one of those 2% better modifications. So they gave us a rear strut tower chassie X brace from the factory. You'd honestly never know it wasn't there if you took it off. But I would put it back on after you're done. And cover ALL the leather with a blanket.
  3. well it's right by it so ya you could crack it if you were really really bnging around i guess. take the main air intake off the car & check it for cracks where you can REALLY bend it around and see. it's about like an enigne mount. unless it's an obvious crack. it may not show up until it's under slight compression.
  4. What's your budget? I'd probably snag a 93 M/T if I were looking for another ES... Last of the manuals+3vz-fe & cheap cheap cheap to own/maintain/fix. Otherwise... For that generation I'd buy a 92 M/T, or a '96. I'm not the biggest 94-95 fan (it's mechanical & electrical reasons. Nothing personal hehe)
  5. FYI for future refferance, on previous generations you simply flip the electrical harness on the windshield wiper motor to go from summer to winter.
  6. There is... It sits ontop of the ABS pump & covers it up. Bolts in two places.
  7. Torque converter upgrade would throw you down to near breaking into high 13's. Valve body ugprade that & slightly more. 75 wet shot of n2o would know another second down. You're running 13's if you can hook it up...
  8. In my book aeroturbine borla magnflow Keep a resonator, or pre-muffler installed on the exhaust. Otherwise you'll have over-tones coming through the exhaust. Flowmaster sucks, Apexi is cheap Your car will never sound like a muscle car regardless of the exhaust. American v8's "run & idle like !Removed!" because of their two major firing patterns have long gaps & short gaps between combustions. Where-as your v6 uses an even firing cycle, which contributes rgeatly to how smoothe it sounds, revs, and runs. So... Even if you went so far as too put huge cams in it, you'd still never get it to burble & idle like a muscle car. hehehe Define duals? True duels or just adding another Y-pipe & two mufflers, or an X-pipe, pair of resonators & pair of mufflers. True duals tend to decrease power levels even with a crossover pipe. The best option is an X-pipe, followed by a Y-pipe with a crossover pipe installed. Another thing to consider about duals is your bumper. We only have the one little cutout for a muffler on the passanger side. :( I've seen afew done really well on Camry's that looked ok (i can't find one at the moment), but most look alittle odd. If you want duals, personally. It's easyest to just cut the exhaust off after the stock resonator. Add a y-pipe to split the exhaust & install your two mufflers. :D
  9. Yup 92-96 same thing. The carpet itself is actually glued down. You have to rip it up if you need behind it.
  10. The owners manual or the factory service manual? I havne't seen the FSM floating around yet, but if that's what you want you can download it for $10 at Techinfo.Toyota.com, or you can go download the Camry manual for freezies. http://www.camrymanuals.com/
  11. Typically valvestem seals. But Army is right, alittle more information would be helpful.
  12. well... they add virtually no power except for highly sensative turbocharged / centerfugal supercharged applications (and very little then) and they're slightly more expencive than any generic filter over time & they dont filter quite as well. theyre normally $40-50 over the years i've been encountering them.
  13. There is no relay. The fan is hydraulic. Check the fan, radiator (pressure test), thermostat & pressure cap. For the headgasket. Warm the engine up & check the compression / do a leak-down test.
  14. Yes, and .0000000000000001. Gemmie $20 ill clean my old K&N & mail it too you. (used for like 2 years)
  15. The lowest you can run without experiancing pinging. Reset your ECU & start with 87. If it pings reset again & go upwards to 89-91. As you can see it is designed to run 91 octane, however it will run peachy on 87. Same as the Camry's 1mz-fe w vvt-i was rated for. =D
  16. 92-93 tank = huge: 94+ tank = 2 quart tiny:
  17. Na I've seen them missing before. Most people take it out to change bulbs & belts.
  18. Probably got removed. Just buy a replacement for a 92-93 ES 300 / Camry v6. We have the nec tanks they're freaking huge. Like 5 quart capacity.
  19. yup
  20. Ok what do you want to know about it? Your ES250 is 99% a Toyota Camry v6. And ES 300/Windom is 99% a Toyota Camry v6, with v6 wagon brake system & abs standard. They just look ALOT better. 92, coincidentally is the first year of the third generation camry. Which USA Today just placed as the vehicle that made the highest impact to the auto industry in the last 25 years. http://www.autoblog.com/2007/06/26/usa-tod...he-most-impact/ It's basically bigger, alot faster, looks better, safer. Better in virtually every way than your ES250.
  21. Transmission is probably fine, replace the offending shift solenoid.
  22. The transmission won't greatly affect fuel eocnomy, however getting a much milder, lower rpm torque convertor will as it'll slip less & be mroe effecient. The downside is a much slower car. hah hey i gotta torque convertor laying around here that i think is 2800-3200rpm depend how how much horsepower you've got. wanna buy it & have him put it in? it'd be like launching your car with another 20 horsepower powerbraking, or anytime you hit the gas and it hits flash speed.
  23. The tweeters or the dash speakers?
  24. In all honesty I don't know of any trim kit for any vehicle that doesn't work with double sided sticky tape.
