I have a 1999 LX 470 and I would like to replace the factory unit with a double din Navigational system. It will be an aftermarket unit, not Lexus. I am handy and not afraid. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem on my 99 LX 470. It was the heat shield on the cat converter. Have it checked. I think it was in the $300 range for repair.
