  1. Only 2-3 seconds. Then it runs smooth. Am I just being too critical or paranoid here? go ahead tell me I am I just want to know this falls into the normal category for this car. I would say it is more normal if it only happens during startup, as in the starter motor causing a little shake to get the engine going. But if it happens during both startup and shut down, ny guess would be that those brief instances when ignition circuit is closing or opening and the engine doesn't have a full current. Thanks. Just made my appointment for my "complimentary 30-day service check" on monday and I will have the service tech verify this concern.

  3. More shake than I'm used to when starting a vehicle. But I don't really feel it too in the seat much. Just a left to right motion seconds after I press the button. Then it stops. I'm likely being just OCD here . But if I know some amount of shake is normal than I can put that to rest.
  4. So I've been driving my new Lexus for about a month now and have no complaints - love it. But for the past week I've paid close attention to the feel of the engine at push button start up - it shakes a bit. After it's started and I'm driving , no problems. But it shakes a little when I turn it off, but it stops right after that. Now, prior to this purchase I drove an Acura MDX and this never happened. But of course that was a heavier, larger, sitting higher vehicle so it's possible those factors are the reason it never happened with the MDX. But I am wondering if this is normal for the Lexus 350? Should the engine shake a little for this size vehicle?
  5. Nice! Pfft, those people are just jealous, that's why they're haters :D
  6. Except that I've always had my keys and phone in my purse when not in use. And now with the smartkey, it rarely leaves my purse. So, if there is anything to this depletion thing, it will likely happen for me. Glad I can help you out with not feeling too nutty. It's no secret that I'm a bit OCD about my car, and maybe a couple other things
  7. I just checked the manual again to make sure I wasn't dreaming . It actually states "do not leave the electronic key within 3 ft of the following electronic appliances that produce a magentic field: TVs PCs cell phones, cordless phones and battery chargers recharging cellphones or cordless phones glass top ranges table lamps" Page 28 of the Owner's manual. That's restrictive. I'll be curious to see how fast the keys deplete before the battery needs changing.
  8. So I've had my '08 ES 350 for a little over a week and I'm loving it. But, the owner's manual indicates the SmartKeys should not be less than 2 feet away from cellphones, magnetized objects etc due to battery deterioration. Has anyone noticed accelerated depletion (girls) by keeping both in the purse or (guys) in pockets. I mean, how sensitive are we talking here and what may be done to prevent such from happening?
  9. Bought the Ultra Luxury package with absolutely no regrets whatsoever! :)
  10. Tungsten pearl w/gray interior :D
  11. No moldings for me. I debated having them installed but - they change the appearance so much. And not in a good way. Sure, there's more chance for door dings, but even then if the right door smacks your side you'll get dinged even with moldings. I park a mile from the door, away from everyone
