  1. AFTER WAITING 20 MINUTES, STARTS JUST FINE. HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY...HAS A MIND OF IT'S OWN...
  2. I have exact the same park light, never had a problem, and i live in LA Cali being driving with this light for almost 2 years now B) I HAD THE SAME COLOR BULBS IN BLUE LED, SAME AS YOU. FOR YEARS NEVER GOT PULLED OVER IN NEW YORK OR ORLANDO. I DID GET PULLED OVER FOR BLUE HEAD LIGHTS.
  3. HELLO EVERYONE, THE NOISE IS BACK, AFTER REPLACING BOTH FRONT CALIPERS AND BLEEDING SYSTEM ($583), IT SEEMS LIKE THE CALIPERS WERE NOT THE ONLY PROBLEM AND/OR NOISE. I AM STILL HAVING A FRONT END NOISE WHILE DRIVING, I HEAR IT MOST AFTER TAKING MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKES AND STEPPING ON THE GAS. SOUNDS LIKE METAL BENDING OR KNOCKING ..ALSO THE STEERING WHEEL FEELS STIFF WHEN I TURN IT, I HAVE 19" CROME WHEELS ON THE CAR, THEY ARE HEAVY, DON'T KNOW IF THAT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT OR IF THAT CAUSED ANY DAMAGE. WHAT ABOUT THE BALL JOINTS,RACKIN PINION, ETC. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS COULD BE, THE NOISE???
  4. thats not gonna work in this case.......sounds like a stuck or frozen caliper or a bad wheel bearing but more like a frozen caliper! sounds like a bbk coming lol brian RIGHT NOW IT'S NOT EVEN MAKING THE NOISE, I GUESS I AM GOING TO HAVE TO TAKE THE CAR ON A LONG TRIP TO DUPLICATE YHE NOISE BEFORE TAKING TO THE SHOP... TURNED OUT TO BE THE CALIPERS REPLACED THEM BOTH FRONT, NO MORE NOISE, KNOCK ON WOOD...PISTONS WERE BAD.
  5. THANKS GUYS, IT'S AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM, SEEM LIKE THE PISTON/CALIPERS LOCKING UP AFTET 1/2 HOUR OF DRIVING. WILL POST FEED BACK... GOT IT FIXED, HAD TO REPLACE BOTH CALIPERS.
  6. I AM HAVING A SIMILAR PROBLEM WITH MY 1998 GS300 124K MILES. BUT MY PROBLEM IS INTERMITTENT DOESNT HAPPEN ALL THE TIME. BUT WHEN IT DOES IM LIKE WHAT DA F*#K. I STILL HAVENT FIGURE OUT WHAT IT IS BUT I BELIEVE MY CALIPERS ARE LOCKING UP ON THE ROTORS(FRONT). YOU CAN JACK UP YOUR FRONT AND SPIN THE WHEEL AND CHECK FOR RESISTANCE.
  7. HI, I HAVE A 1998 GS300 124K MILES, WHEN I GO TO START IT, IT CRANKS BUT WON'T TURN OVER/START. I CHECKED BATTERY CONNECTION IT WAS OK, ALL THE LIGHT AND WINDOWS WORK. TRIED TO START IT ABOUT 10 TIMES EVEN GIVING IT GAS AS I ATTEMPT TO START, NO LUCK. 5 HOURS LATER OR NEXT MORNING TRIED TO START IT AND IT STARTS ON THE 1ST TRY, WEIRD...DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS COULD BE? I REMEMBER A FEW YEARS AGO A LEXUS TECH WAS CHANGING MY SPARK PLUGS, WHEN HE PULLED IT OUT IT WAS WET WITH ENGINE OIL, HE SAID I WAS GOING TO NEED TO CHANGE MY HEAD GASKET SOONER OR LATER. I NEVER DID AND DONT KNOW IF THIS IS THE PROBLEM OR NOT...DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS COULD BE?? OTHER WISE I'M JUST GOING TO SELL THE CAR TOO MANY PROBLEMS.

  9. I HAVE A 1998 GS300 124K MILES AND IT'S BEEN PROBLEMS AFTER PROBLEMS, LEXUS OF ORLANDO SERVICE IS JUST DUMB THEY CANNOT FIGURE IT OUT. I HAVE JUST BEEN SPENDING MONEY. FOR A HIGHT END CAR AS A LEXUS GS300, ONE SHOULD NOT BE HAVING SO MANY PROBLEMS. MY ADVISE IS TO BUY A HONDA.

  11. I HAVE A 1998 LEXUS GS300 WITH 124,000 MILES ON IT. I AM HAVING A NOISE THAT SOUNDS LIKE METAL BENDING, GRINDING, SCRAPING AND SOMTIMES KNOCKING NOISE FROM THE FRONT RIGHT WHEEL BRAKE. GETS LOUD, EMBARASSING AND SCARY. IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. IT SOUNDS LIKE THE PADS OR CALIPERS ARE TOUCHING THE ROTORS (FROZEN UP/LOCKED UP), I JACKED UP THE FRONT AND MANUALLY TURNED THE FRONT RIGHT WHEEL AND HEARD IT, THE LEFT SIDE DID NOT TURN AS EASILY AS THE RIGHT SIDE. I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC SHOP, THEY TOLD ME THE PADS WERE WORN DOWN AND THE ROTORS NEEDED REPLACING, SPENT $241 ON NEW PADS AND ROTORS. NEXT DAY SAME PROBLEM.   13. BANK 2 SENSOR 2, REFERS TO THE LAST 3 OR 4 PIPES OF THE HEADER COMING OUT OF THE ENGINE ON THR RIGHT PASSENGER SIDE CLOSEST TO THE FIREWALL OF THE CAR. SENSOR 1 IS LOCATED ON THE LAST OF THAT PIPE CLOSEST TO THE FIRE WALL OF THE CAR IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT DOWN BELOW. SENSOR 2, IF YOU GO THE THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR AND LOOK UNDER THE CAR YOU WILL SEE THE SENSOR ON THE PIPE JUST AFTER THE CAT. THAT SENSOR CONNECTS JUST UNDER THE FLOOR MAT OF THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR.   14. FOUND THE SENSOR BANK 2 SENOR 1. IS THE CLOSEST TO THE FIRE WALL, DOWN BELOW, THE PART# IS DENSO:234-4630. INSTALLED SENSOR PROBLEM FIXED.
  15. STILL LOOKING, STILL CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHICH SENSOR IS BANK 2 SENSOR 1. IT'S A PAIN IN DA #%%$!!!. KEEP GETTING CONFLICTING REPORTS FROM AUTO PART DEALERS AS TO WHICH IS WHICH. TRIED TESTING THEM, THE 3 OXYGEN SENSORS UNDER THE HOOD ON PASSENGER RIGHT SIDE. IF YOU TAKE A VOLTAGE METER AND MEASURE THE 2 PINS FOR THE 2 BLACK WIRES, YOU SHOULD GET AROUND 14 OHMS RESISTANCE, OR IF U SWITCH YOUR METER TO CONTINUITY U SHOULD GET A LONG BEEEEP ACCROSS THE 2 BLACK WIRE PINS. IF MY TESTING IS CORRECT THE 2 SENSORS (1 FRONT OF CAR & 2nd LOWER MIDDLE) ARE GOOD & THE 3rd AT THE BACK CLOSE TO THE FIRE WALL IS BAD ( NO CONTINUITY, OR RESISTANCE). TOMMOROW I WILL GET THE CHECK ENGINE READ AGAIN TO CONFIRM IT IS STILL P0155. THEN IF THE SAME I MAY HAVE TO SUCK IT UP, GOTO THE DEALER AND PAY THE OUTRAGIOUS $183 PRICE TAG FOR THE CORRECT OXYGEN SENSOR.(COMPARE WITH (www.rockautoparts.com $77)

  17. My 99 GS300 Just turned 100K with the same symptom. I'm going on a trip to check the gas mileage...it appears the dealer doesnt change these things with scheduled maintenence as I reviewed 9 years of expensive maintenence bills and do not see a thing. Mine has two........ both visable from under hood on right side....one in front of the header cat and one behind. Ibelieve it is DENSO (Toyota) Part Number 234-4209.....$44.99 ea at oxygensensor4less.com My friendly lexus dealers want $129 or more which is typical for them. The third one further back goes into the large cat just under the front door jam...haven't researched the part number of thi one yet, however it appears the same.. mine are four wire sensors (they preheat)...... one & two wire models will work but not till the exhaust heats up to 600 degrees. Jim in Kalamazoo -ok i will check/test both sensors on the header, dealer parts guy said it's the on in the back, will test to see. Dealer wants $163 for sensor.   18. HELLO... I HAVE A 1998 LEXUS GS300 (126Kmi) WITH A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, I CLEARED THE CODE AND IT CAME BACK, IM GETTING: P0155 HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR CIRCUIT BANK 2 SENSOR 1. I WOULD LIKE TO TRY AND REPAIR THIS MYSELF. CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHERE IN THE CAR THIS O2 SENSOR IS LOCATED SO THAT I CAN GET TO IT? AND IS THERE ANYTING ELSE THAT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED ALONG WITH THIS SENSOR?? PLEASE HELP....
