I had the same problem, took it in and the dealer told me it was a problem with the cam gears, of course its under warranty and they replaced wutever they needed to replace and the noise is gone.......hope this helps. -

just go to the sotre like a rite aid or target or walmart, use the removable key on one of the corners of the control the one where it fits and turn it....remove the battery and replace it.....that easy. -
Does anyone know if I could swap out the sub, speakers and stock amp... and leave the existing wiring? Might sound crazy... but I'd rather not rip out all the seats, flooring and doors and rewire the whole damn thing

they do operate at night, if you look you can see them on and they ruin the HID Look for me.

what about the running daylinghts? has this happened to anyone else. they will not turn them off.

well i had them service my IS250 yesterday for the first time and it was not what i expected. the carwash was not a carwash it looked like they just hosed down my car and wiped it. there was a shiny spot that looked like the mechanic touched my side door panel and left his fingerprints on it, and they refused to turned my running light off. meh just my 2 cents, has anyone experienced this before?

I went to the dealer ship yesterday, LONGO LEXUS in El Monte, CA and asked to have the daylight running lights turned off and they refused, they said it's a safety feature and that LEXUS does not do that at their dealerships. Is this true? or what do i need to do to have them turned off?

I think this happens when you release the brake pedal too soon, it happen to me once but i released the brake pedal too soon on purpose i don't think you should worry about anything

ok, i want to change all the speakers on my new IS does anyone know where i can get all the info on size of spekers the car comes with so i can go buy them and change them for better ones. I'm getting 2amps and 2 12inch subs in the trunk. i don't have the ML Sound system '08 IS 250 premium pkg w/ navi.

i got all this from my thread and all i asked was about the brake dust issue....now i got a full on report on breaking and pads and traction and friction... damn i love this site.

I have read something about this before but i'm not very clear about it. can some one clarify about the brake pad dust issue they had i have to go back for the 1000 mi service this weekend and i would like to know if i need them to change my brake pads? i do notice a lot of dust comming out of the brake pads also is this done for free? '08 IS 250 thanks

i know the factory setting is 30 sec to turn off...my question is how do i change that to turn off as soon as i turn the car off no delay? and another question is there a way to turn on and off the daylight running lights? please help I got an 08' IS 250 premium pkg with navi.

i guess this has been asked before but i have looked and can not find an answer i got IS250 premium pkg w/ navi and i do have the shark fin antenna however i would like to know if I can ad XM to my existing radio and I am not asking for the little radios u ad on your windshield or next to your radio. am asking if there is a place where i can buy the original lexus tuner an ad xm myself. any info will be greatly appreciated
