  1. The stereo is a well documented problem - the LCD fails. Cost is about $125.00 to fix if you DIY. The part is readily available directly from Pioneer. I'm averging about 23mpg (highway) with my 2000 GS300. I just changed the plugs and air filter so I'm interested to see if that bumps my mileage up at all. My GS has over 125k miles on it and runs/looks like new. Marc
  2. I just did a plug change on my 2000 GS300 - let me know if you have any specific questions. You will need a new throttle body gasket (about $50.00 from Lexus). I'd recommend you get one before you start so that you can do the job without interuption. Also have some carb cleaner handy because you will want to clean the throttle body while you have it apart. Marc
  3. I have a 2000 GS300 with the factory Pioneer stereo system. Is it me or does this thing lack serious power?? It seems that I'm usually driving with the volume turned all the way up and it's still not always loud enough. Is there any way to get more power/sound. I want to retain the factory stereo so I guess I'm looking for a direct replacement amp that will deliver more power to the speakers (assuming they can handle it). Any suggestions?? Thanks, Marc
