  1. I have a 2004 RX33O still in great shape but both of the plastic trim pieces came off the little rear triangular windows. I have the plastic trim pieces but was wondering if there are recommendations as to what double sided tape/adhesive to use to reconnect them properly???
  2. Thanks Jim, I did remove the overhead console and disconnected it from its connector. I then checked all the pins of the 32 pin connector for voltage, both with the key turned on and off, and got no voltage from any pin. So I have checked the fuses and the connector and this is confusing. Also the sun visor vanity lights do not work and their power connector are before the overhead console connector. Like you said I checked Ebay and there is one of the correct color on there, so I wanted to check the voltage first to make sure it was there. It's not. I believe that the ECU-B is located up there somewhere and it may be the problem.
  3. I have a 2004 RX330 that I have owned since it was new. I rarely use the dome lights, vanity lights or sunroof. But I was trying to turn on the dome lights to read something and they did not work. After reading up on this I also checked the sunroof, the vanity lights and the homelink buttons. No power to any of them. I checked the Dome fuse, the sunroof fuse and the ECU-B fuse and all were good. I replaced all of them anyway and again no power to any of the above. Does anyone know what I should try next? Could this be some sort of computer malfunction? All other car functions are good as far as I can tell. Thank you
  4. That is what I measured at the camera connector. I have since ordered and received a new camera from Amazon and installed it and it works perfectly, so it would seem that the camera is a 5 VDC camera.
  5. Was having no problems with the camera and then all of a sudden all I get is a white screen, so I checked the voltage at the camera cable connector in the rear hatch and got 6.28 VDC so it looks like it is not a fuse issue so probably the camera itself. Before I go further wanted to ask if anyone else has had this happen and how you handled it? Thanks
  6. I have a 2004 RX330 and normally had the dome lights off, but when I went to turn them on recently none of them worked. Also my moonroof controls do not work and when I use them there is no noise. I checked the 30A moonroof and 7.5A dome light fuses and both are good. What else should I check?
  7. I decided to just replace the battery and now everything is okay.
  8. I have a 2005 Lexus RX330 with 32K miles. It is my wife's car so I rarely drive it. When I did drive it yesterday I noticed it "chugged" about three or four times when starting but started okay, so I drove it yesterday and today and the same "chugging" happened each time I started. It has a battery from Autozone so I took it there and had them test the battery/altenator. They said the battery passed but the alternator failed. I brought it home and tested the battery voltage (it was 12.7 V) and tested the voltage with the car idling (it was 15.5 V) so that confused me. That should be around 14 V (I think???) so why would it be that high and also that did not seem to indicate an alternator problem (just guessing). I read somewhere where I should turn the lights on and see if they dim when starting. I did this and the lights dimmed but the engine "chugged" and started. Could the problem be in the starter or starter solenoid? Any thoughts?
