There is one bolt holding it on the "center side" of the vehicle. The passenger side is quite difficult if you have "air suspension." -

I did the samething on a rx330 wd-40 it is a slider pin that only has a few threads near the head of the bolt.

My 255/55/18 tires do not rub on my RX. I doubt 255/50/18 will fit without a rear spacer. -
