  1. My BMW (2004 540 M Sport) is not an everyday driver (6 speed, 425HP Supercharged Dinan gas guzzler). Nor is it a Luxury Sedan... kinda basic inside. I bought the GS350 as an everyday driver Luxury Sedan. You know, a Japanese bells and whistles car. By the way, auto sense wipers stopped working completely yesterday evening. Member123: I have the GS450H and have a few issues with the auto sensing, but I don't pay too much attention to it and just use the manual controls if required (I don't get the rain you do). If it stopped working altogether, I assume you'll have the dealership investigate and hopefully replace the unit? Please let us know how it turns out.
  2. I am a seasoned winter driver and recently purchased the 450H. I put 4 Blizzacks on it and it handles the snow and ice beautifully. With all the tech wiz-bang features, it keeps you out of trouble. The traction control and VSC kick in right about when you expect them too - ie. you know when you are pushing beyond your tires grip capability. It handles as well as my last vehicle - an Acura TL with snow tires on it. You'll have no problem with the 450H in the snow, provided you drive reasonably and don't assume you're in an SUV - if you think you're driving an SUV, the TC and VSC won't save you!
  3. My battery also only charges to short of 2 bars from the top - I have driven for long stretched down mountain roads where it charged for miles and never "tops up". Also, I regularly deplete the battery to the last 2 bars (it turns purple) and the engine kicks in to re-charge. Anyone else comment on the capacity and charging issue? My dealer said, no surprise, that the diagnostics indicated all was normal.
