  1. Yours definitely is the wrong generation and that's why it didn't take to begin with. If it were the right one, it would have overwritten the previous ROM and you wouldn't be able to read your old DVD again!
  2. Actually I had both of my headlight assemblies replaced because of moisture condensation. After driving the vehicle for some 30 months, it just came from nowhere! But the dealer never asked any question and just replaced them — which made me think it's a regular occurrence!
  3. After driving my 04 RX for over two years, I just noticed for the first time that there were moisture condensation inside my adaptive headlights. The dealer replaced both of them and had the data dots put on while at it. Absolutely no charge!
  4. The new version for the following year is usually out by October.
  5. For the sake of those who haven't read the original post, I'm copying it here with some modifications for the pre-2005 RX: Press the MENU button, then press the DVD button (however the car must be stopped before the DVD button is available). Then touch the TOP LEFT of the screen, then the BOTTOM LEFT of the screen, then the TOP LEFT again, then the BOTTOM LEFT again, then finally touch the BOTTOM RIGHT of the screen. It will bring up the SYSTEM MENU. Press and hold the OVERRIDE button for about 3 seconds until it turns green, then hit BACK. If you do this while moving, you won't be able to edit until you stop the first time. If you are stopped when you do this, then you can continue to edit while moving. You MUST do this everytime you start your car.
  6. Actually it does work on the 04 330. All you need to do is to hold down the "Override" button for about three seconds until it turns green. Hope it's helpful! I sure appreciate knowing it!
  7. It looks great! Where did you get it and how much did you pay for it? Thanks.
  8. Hey, but then again, this was the original question: "Wife doesn't want a Wal-mart bag hung from the front armrests to collect the refuse, and I don't want crap all over the car. Is there a more aesthetic solution that someone out there is using, and where could I get that?" :P
  9. This link shows more details of the Clean Box, however I'm not sure whether it'll fit the RX330? This one is only $54! http://www.myautofashion.com/rx300cleanbox.html
  10. There is actually a very nice way to handle this problem -- it's called a Clean Box -- but it'll set you back $80! Check out this link: http://www.myautofashion.com/haclbox.html For your info: the Toyota Harrier is the Japanese version of the Lexus RX. Hope it's helpful!
  11. Could you please give us the store contact info or its URL address? Also, are you able to change the front emblem as well? Thanks.
  12. Thanks, RX in NC, I believe you hit the nail right on the head. I might have gone too far about the need for a completely separate RX330 forum, if specifying the model in the title line would work. Obviously this requires everybody's cooperation. Can the Management Team/Moderator encourage this practice in any way? SK, SW, others?
  13. With all due respect to SK, SW and Lexusfreak (who all happen to be ES owners), I believe the different forums are set up for the benefits to those who are owners of the respective model vehicles so they can discuss and look up specific issues that are unique to them. When the RX300 noise level has raised to the point where RX330 owners like myself are no longer willing to spend time browsing the site, I believe it's time to do something!
  14. With an increasing number of older RX300s coming onto the used car market and bringing with them their own wear-n-tear issues and the fact that RX330s have a different set of unique issues, I wonder whether it's time for RX330 owners to have our own separate forum? What do you all think?
  15. Press the "Clock" button and turn off "Daylight Saving Time." This is necessary because not all US municipalities subscribe to Daylight Saving Time.
