  1. How about these from the Tire Rack? http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/results.jsp?filterSize=18&filterFinish=Chrome&filterBrand=All&filterWeight=All&autoMake=Lexus&autoModel=RX400h&autoYear=2008&autoModClar=&sort=Brand&filterNew=All&filterSpecial=false They are listed specifically for a 2008 RX400h, are chrome-plated and cost quite a bit less than the quotes you received. Although there are only three in stock, you can always ask when more are due to arrive. Wow, those are the exact rims I have in my save cart at Tire Rack. You're good. So there won't be a problem with "weight" or whatever that meant if I get these? Thank you
  2. I too am considering the General Grabber tires for my 08 400h but in summer tire form. I would like to purchase new rims for the summer tire and keep the winter tires on the original rim. I called my Lexus dealer Boston area, and he quoted me $4800 for new rims ( I wanted the chrome version). My question to you is it ok to buy rims from say Tire Rack or do I need the original stock rims for the " weight" of the car. The dealer service department made a big deal of that. Is he full of it??? I also found what I believe to be stock chrome rims on Lextasy for 1,900. Do you think these are worth it? http://www.lextasy.com/Lexus-RX400h-Factory-Chrome-Wheels.htm Many thanks, Karen
  3. Thanks for the reply. I think I have the dash board light up all the way. I will test this tomorrow evening with the dash lights down. Do you know if it automatically changes to dark mode at dusk or if the headlights come on. My husbands G35 does this and it is nice- easy on the eyes too.
  4. I appreciate your looking into this. I'm also stumped. The black background is from a shot taken at night. My display changes from the standard white to the black background you see in the photo. This shot was taken in the middle of the Las Vegas valley. So far the street names are minimal no matter where I go. Maybe the streets of Vegas aren't mapped very well yet?? Does your GPS display all the street names in your area when you're driving around? I'm going to stop by the dealership this week and get their input. I'll post my results. How do you get your display to change to the black background at night? Mine just stays white- which is too bright for night.
  5. I was just reading the manual for my new 08 400h and on page 190 they state that the front emblem will be the blue one IF it does not have the towing package. " On vehicles with a towing package, the front emblem has openings, which are designed to improve the cooling performance."
