  1. Why is RX330 grouped with RX300 & not with RX350? It seems to me that RX330 & RX350 are more similar together than with RX300. It doesn't make sense if you ask me.
  2. I bought my key off ebay seller callexus for $13.98 & my dealer cut it for $10, put in the transponder & works great with no problem. Saved close to $75 if I bought it from the dealer.
  3. I used a black permanent marker. Not a perfect color match but good enough. From 5 ft away, you can't tell the difference.
  4. Too late. The remote key was sold but callexus does sell uncut 3-buttons remote key case. Just buy a transponder & pop it into the case & you have another spare key.
  5. You should have 2 master keys because if you only have one & you lose it, then you will have to have your ignition electronic reprogrammed & that will be very expensive like $800. I bought another spare key off eBay & had it cut for $10 at my Lexus dealer & they reprogrammed it for free. Total cost was $35 for the OEM transponder, $15 for the uncut key & $10 cutting. Good price compared to dealer's $250 & the key works great. Also, second generation RX are not self programmable like the first generation RX, it needs a special programmer. MT check out eBay seller : callexus. He has an uncut Lexus RX350 OEM transponder remote key for sale at $55.
  6. I sold the bottom grille. It wasn't a bad lookin grille,
  7. It's really not that hard to do. Start at one end of the uncarpeted plastic hatch cover, then firmly pry it open. There are 10 insert tabs that are holding the cover on. You can use a flash light to see where the tabs are. Once you get one end about a quarter of the way off, you can stick your hand in the hole & push down on the cover to make it easier to push the tabs off. Just continue until all the tabs are out of the insert holes. It may seem like you will damage the cover when you first start on the end but just be firm as you pry it open. Once the cover is off, it's very simple to change out the bulbs. If the led don't light up the first time, just reverse the polarity. Very easy.
  8. I removed mine recently & had the same question : http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...mp;#entry338091
  9. Silver is color of my RX. I don't know about the gold front emblem because it may be too pretentious but I got it for free. Just can't decide which grille to keep & sell the other. Both looks good <_<
  10. I have 2 RX Grilles and want to keep only one, so I was wondering which grille do you think looks better or prefer? Does gold emblem look tacky?
  11. I have an used Lexus Logo back cover I would sell for $5. Just realized this was an old thread.
  12. It looks like you bought it online without checking it out thoroughly. The tipoff was not only it being salvaged but "a few minor things needs fixing" that would have been a RED FLAG as the seller was hiding a few things that is turning out to be one big thing. If you were buying a salvaged car, a couple of hundred $$ for a good mechanic to inspect the car would have been a good investment. Even if you lived far away from the seller, there are online contracted mechanic service that would inspect the vehicle for you at where ever the car is located at. This is probably advise that you don't want to hear since you already purchased the car. Lexus are great cars but not after its been in a wreck, no cars for that matter. Is there a community college nearby where you live with an auto mechanic classes? If so, check out their auto mechanic program & see if they can help you out. The Junior College where I live has an auto mechanic program where the public can bring in their car to be fixed at half of what regular mechanic charge. And if your heater still doesn't work when it starts to get cold, you can buy a portable 12V heater w/ cigarette plug in the mean time. Good luck.
  13. It gives me more confidence in Lexus to know that I am the exception. I didn't think the clips could be stretched out because the clips are pretty solid plastic & they don't really have that much stretchability; it had to been a manufacturing defect. When I was searching for a Lexus online, I always saw pictures of the flaps hanging down & not clip on to the headrest posts, so I assumed they had the same problem. I am satisfied with the cargo cover once I fixed the problem with the tape job.
  14. Was this a salvaged car that someone fixed up & resold online? Did you get a history repair report on the car before you bought?
  15. I have been very happy with my Lexus RX350 purchase, a perfect car with luxury, comfort & reliability. But if there is one thing to gripe at, it is those CARGO COVER CLIPS for the flap. Who was the moron that designed that? The clips don't even work; the insert hole is too large so it won't stay on the headrest posts. If I was at Lexus, I would fire the designer & the manager who came up with those useless clips. I did manage to solve the problem of the clips from falling off by using a 2" electrical tape & taping it around the top of the headrest posts to make the post thicker, but I shouldn't have to do that. Before releasing a product, you would expect that they tested it out to make sure it worked. Apparently they were asleep on this one. Everyone should email Lexus & complain about those stupid clips that doesn't work & maybe that moron design engineer would wake up. :chairshot:
