  2. I took my lexus to the dealer today and it came back error codes 25 and 26, he told me 99% its the mass air sensor what do you thing as what I read it is the main oxegen sensor is that the same thing?
  3. anyone know where to get aftermarket 02 sensors at a resonable price?
  4. I have 2 issues 1) air bag light is stuck on, dont know why, I tried unhooking the battery 2) also just got my brakes done and that dummy light is stuck on!
  5. :chairshot: I think my catalyc converters are shot! I can not afford the replacement coast of 2400.00 Right now. I was wondering if anyone knows what would happen if I was to knock out the middle of the cats? we dont have emmisions control here BUT I know that there are o2 sensors behind and in front of my cats! how will all this effect? This is just temp until I can get the new cats! I am having the same problem as another post where I have absolutly NO power to get up to speed and my gas milage is 7-8 miles a gallon
  6. can a clogged fuel filter alter you mpg by 50%? how is that possible?
  7. I am soooo stuck, i have a 97 lexus ls400 driving home one day on the interstate, I noticed a change in throttle. after getting off the interstate i had NO power at accelleration cant out run a metro! finally gets up to speed but cant get a good kick down at high speeds can barely make it up a hill from a dead stop! I am LUCKY if i get 5 miles to the gallon and the fumes are BAD! (smells like raw feul). If i put my foot on the brake and give it a lot of gas I have very little pull transmission checked out fine code check on engine light suggested Throttle response Sensor, and rich AND lean feul mixtures! so 480.00 later we changed the sensor NOTHING the shop suggested AFTER they changed the TRS that it was the catylic converter that it had collasped, so I took it to a muffler shop, nope not it! any suggestions at all? how could cleaning the throttle body help with the dramatic loss of fuel? it would seem that it would not go anywhere!
