  1. Not black (thats what I have) or White & AWD. Not LWB. Otherwise the top of the range without it being the Supersport ot whatever they call the sport model. T
  2. Thnx everyone who replied. First the garages showing inventory on autotrader & cars etc don't have any stock in spite of the listings. I actually did find one in stock but it was gone the next day! Obviously the dealers have sold their inventory & have had no shipments from Japan. I could order one & then take my chance on when I would get it. My local dealer who I have always bought from doesn't want to do this & I appreciate that. There is no word of when shipments will start again. Of course my dealer is anxious to get his hands on mine since he has no used inventory either & mine is 3 yours old this month with just 20K on the clock. My best deal of course is him with loyalty bonus + knowing the car since I bought it new from them. Lexus of Seattle they are & part of the Kuhn group I think. Unfortunately for them I have started to look around for alternatives since the prices are all going up with shortage of cars. Their saving grace is there is nothing comes close to the LS460 for the money. The Mercedes compares but is well over $100k. Caddy to get the size is the DTS which is ugly Lincoln don't have a comparable model & Audi with the A8 which is a beaut BTW is also $100k + Considering the LS460 with AWD & everything is just over $80k no wonder they sell them as fast as they get them. My Sales guy says around 1000 LS460 per month is the U.S. sales figures. Thats a lot of cars there's not that many dealers. Anyway thanx for the interest. Might post my progress.
  3. I am looking for a new ls460. No dealers in my whole State have on in stock. QI tried a dealer search on Edmunds to find there are none. Anyone know if their local dealer has any inventory? Thnx
  4. I think this is a spoof! There is no logo on the headlights.
  5. In Washington State I have vast areas where the signal drops completely. Ok so there are lots of trees but I never lose the FM signal. I agree with others the quality is poor compared to FM.
  6. I am going on an extended vacation for 6 weeks. Leaving LS460 in garage. Any tips? Should I leave a trickle charger connected to battery? Leave next week (9th Feb) Thanks
  7. I don't believe any of this. I have a month old LS460 & get nowhere near the MPG quoted on this forum. The car reads slightly 'better' than my calculated actual but within statistical margins. Set cruise at 60 on any Interstate you can do a couple of hundred miles on, bet you don't get better than 25mpg. It's a 4.6l engine pulling a couple of tons 34mpg is impossible at 60 mpg!
  8. :( If only the sat/nav were included I have a feeling it would be near the bottom of the "usable" table. We want sat/nav to work WHEN WE ARE DRIVING.
  9. I agree 100%. I would be willing to sign a waiver so that these features could be unlocked. Also, note that speach recognition software allows for you to "TEACH" your software to recognize your individuality, I can not for the life of me get the thing to recognize what I am saying My first Lexus. New LS460 in May. Back to Mercedes for me. It's a beautiful car spoiled by the Sat/Nav. If the voice commands worked & were intuitive (Mine constantly turns Audio Off as a default for not understanding my command!) it might be usable, but they don't & you search for the right command which takes umpteen attempts. We use this car for touring, every week we set off, usually only knowing our first port of call. On the way throughout the day we need to navigate & every time we need to find a safe parking place. A recent trip to Eastern Washington were we were wandering from place to place was spoiled for my wife by having to map read all the time. Constantly trying to set new destinations using the Sat/nav was so frustrating we gave up. Count me in to anything that would get this changed. Tom
  10. I had Stoneguard installed the 3m "clear bra". The approved installer Accutint told me that to wait a week then clean & polish the car as normal. I do not use a car wash but he said it's OK even for that. Apart from the line on the hood which can only be seen looking from the back end of the car the rest is invisible. They did say using polish if you rub from winscreen to radiator leaves a reside but just wipe along it. Even suggested using a 'chewed' wooden toothpick to do it!! Don't think I'll try it but an ear bud thingy was fine.
  11. No I went to Barrier to buy a Mercedes before I looked at Lexus. It was Lexus of Bellevue the so called flagship WA. dealership. Barrier experience was what started me on Lexus! but still not as bad as Lexus of Bellevue. I did phone Lexus Corporate who did listen but a letter is on it's way.
  12. Recent email to me from Lexus UK "Thank you for your email to Lexus GB. In response to your recent query, I can state that your Lexus LS will have an Intermediary service every 10,000 miles and the full service is every 20,000 miles. "
  13. Came to live in USA in February. Went to Local Lexus dealer looking for new LS460. After a couple of visits which were bordering on just passable I arranged a test drive. For examlpe the cars in this lot were not parked by type so searching through their stock was a long & winding walk. Flagship dealer in Bellevue WA. by the way. Arrived for the test drive at appointed time to find the test LS was out with someone else. So we were treated to an hour of time wasting with not as much as a coffee hoping the test car would return. After an hour we left still not having test driven a car!! Yes they only have 1 LS460 test car. Yes I did buy one from Lexus of Seattle who were brilliant (awesome I should say. Just learning the lingo!!) Oh did I get any follow up from Lexus of Bellevue? Yes someone posing as the Sales Manager phoned to say sorry there was no car to test at my appointment time. Invite me back? No!! Ask if I there was anything he could do to apologise? NO My first Lexus too. I am a Mercedes man, nearly stayed with them.
  14. OK so I'm just off the boat as they used to say but service every 5K miles!! You couldn't sell a car in Europe with a service interval of at least 12K. So what's wrong with the oils here in USA. Nothing from what I can gather, they are the same synthetic oils used all over the world (except Pennzoil, I had never seen that name till I came here). Lexus UK has a service interval of 12k miles. Surely with modern sythetic oils & the claims of the oil companies this is a little garage money spinner. Does everyone actually do the oil change every 5k? It's not the cost it's the inconvenience to always find a dealer who even at the best takes an hour.
  15. I am a real newby. 1st Lexus just on Monday. It's a 2008 LS460 without the Mark Levinson sound system. The CD player is 1990's in my opinion. It does not 'read' CD info. I also find the SAT radio drops the signal pretty often. FM reception is excellent. Shame the 'standard' audio is relatively poor for such a flagship car. I am a Mercedes S class convert & even the standard Bose they fit is really good.
