  1. You know what, I've been experiencing better mpg than usual over here in NJ - weird...but I'll take it...
  2. Most people lower their cars mostly for physical looks, but it also gives the car more ground stability, control and less body roll. Of course this only happens if you use quality parts and do it right! In my opinion I would go for 19's. The GS is a big automobile and 18's look small to me. Again that's my 2 cents!!
  3. I have just heard of this place www.autolights4u.com, they sell the headlights - supposedly the same as OEM. A friend of mine just ordered a set, so I will keep you posted on fitament and quality. Prices are much cheaper than the OEM dealership version.
  4. Also, are you what type of gasoline are you using, I notice my mpg improves a lot when i use super versus regular or plus.
  5. Another way to increase your mpg is to clean your MAF sensor and throttle body plate. I heard that works wonders, most likely I'm going to do that next weekend!
  6. Yeah, I can't decide!!!! Heard that philips had a supposedly "X-treme" bulb for halogen lights that puts out 80% more than factory halogens. Maybe I'll check that out first before I decide..Thanks man!
  7. First I was planning on just buying an aftermarket HID kit, but I read many complaints of unwanted glare all over the place. Then I was thinking about buying projector headlights off ebay - but then heard they're junk! Many people recommend the retrofit. I was browsing through and realized that this may take some time. My first question deals with the projectors themselves, any good models to pick from so they fit pretty good such as Acura TSX, Audi etc. I know I will have to cut the housing myself, but some manufacturers like BMW and Mercedes have giant back pieces to the projectors! Also do I need a bi-xenon projector? what are the benefits (still learning!!)? I figured the first step is buying/finding the projectors and the shrouds, then that will force me to make the time to retrofit!! Then there's the harness, seen a couple of custom ones on ebay - I'm sure one of those may do. Please share your thoughts! Thanks!!
  8. Going to have to try this...Not sure which audio system I have though... 2000 GS300, I know there is a sub woofer attached to rear deck and cd changer in glove box..
  9. I've used Meguiars Plastx for years, it works great! Sweet thanks! I just picked up a bottle at Pep Boys!
  10. I was considering this one on ebay as well? Any thoughts you HID vets?? what type of things should I be looking for? Cheap one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LEXUS-HID-C...sspagenameZWDVW Littile bit pricey (any big differences?) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MTEC-HID-CO...sspagenameZWDVW

  12. The steel wool won't scratch your glass. I used a regular Brillo pad with water, you can also go to like a home depot and get a steel wool 00 pad. Very fine grade!
  13. NICE body kit!! I'm considering the HID conversion kit as well. What brand kit is that?
  14. Anyone ever use meguiars Plastx to remove light hazing/oxidation on headlights? I seen some forums on the internet where people actually wet sand their lenses, and polish. But I have also heard that this can remove the UV coating and cause you to sand and polish more often. Any thoughts? I have some very light spots on my headlights I would to possibly get out. Thanks!!
  15. I am definitely doing this!! Steel wool and paint thinner? I can see the chrome under my chips!! Wow, sounds easy but my hands will probably be sore from scrubbing!! Thanks for the tip!
