  1. Try this site, I ordered my factory match shift console piece from them yesterday. (93 GS, center piece breaks a lot from what I hear. www.exoticwooddash.com Ken
  2. With everybody changing out there stock audio system, does anyone still have their CD changer cable that connects to the OEM deck?? I have a 93 GS300, stock system. I recently bought a CD changer-compatible deck to replace the one the car came with, and am in the process of getting an OEM changer. But I still need the cable. Please, if you have one send me an email with pics of both ends. I am trying to see if 1st gen. ES models will work as well. But even if you don't have a GS or an ES, send me some pics. Email: Boostd.si@gte.net or ken.enright@westin.com Thanks, Ken
  3. Thanks for the info !!! I took pictures of the deck when I went to test drive the car and the deck I will be getting is off of eBay. The 2 pictures look identical in every regard. And yes, it has the CD changer button. There is a user on here that makes the DIN cable, that will be the one thing that makes this difficult. I should have some pics next week sometime, just waiting to pick up the car and get the radio delivered. Good luck to you as well, and let me know how it goes. Ken
  4. Well tomorrow we pick up a 1993 Hunter Green GS300. The only thing it does not have is the changer, and I noticed that the radio is different as it does not have the changer controls either. So, I need to find a CD changer equipped radio and changer. The question is, after looking around I have found that the ES model radios look identical to the GS models of the 93-96 years. Are they identical and thus interchangeable?? Because there are a few going on eBay that I can actually afford. Ken

  6. I didn't mean any offense by using the term "issues". It just seems that every car has their little idiosynchrosies (sp). I just started browsing the Lexus boards yesterday in anticipation of my Mom owning a Lexus and came across a few people w/ idle problems that dealers were unable to fix. No problem with the "small stuff", I enjoy doing it.
  7. Thanks !! I will be the one doing the initial examination of the car before I take it to the delaer. However I keep hearing about a "low idle issue". Does this affect the 1st gen as well as the 2nd gen?? And has a fix been discovered?? We reside in Florida where it stays quite warm and humid for most of the year.
  8. Hello All, Actually this car will be for my Mom. Now that Dad has his Infiniti, I have my Civic, it's Mom's turn. We found a 94 GS300 auto. w/68K miles on it for under $10K close to us. I will be going out to take a look at it this weekend and need to know what to look for. I do plan on having the delaer do an inspection on it, but I also would like to know what, if any, "quirks" this model and year might have. Thanks, Ken
