  1. 753 i was treated like a king after they saw my score.
  2. I'm not real good with any of that stuff, but i might be getting some of those "blue'ish" bulbs from xenon depot. OOO and as soon as they release a TSB for those front break pads im gonna get those changed out but that isnt really a mod per say :D
  3. Finally got around to taking some pics. Took a few real quick during lunch. 250 AWD Smoky Granite Lux, Prem, Nav, Rear Lip, and Sirius
  4. ***UPDATE*** Just went into the dealer this morning to drop the car off so they can look at the VSC error and install my sirius receiver. I was watching the guy type the stuff into his computer and i saw the sirius came up as $0.00 since they are doing it at no charge (parts and labor). When he put the next line item (which i assume is for the VSC) i saw it come up to 89.95. Should i have to pay this on a car that isnt even a week old? He didnt mention anything about payment to me, but i would like to be prepared for when i go in there tomorrow. On another note they were out of loaners at the dealer, so they called enterprise and i got a Kia Rondo... :(
  5. I've noticed this on my 08 AWD as well, but it was when i opened my rear windows.
  6. Ouch i guess that "large" space wasnt large enough. Drifting...what a waste of perfectly good tires...makes no sense to me.
  7. Hello all. I got a check VSC message on the dash this morning when i started up. The car seems to be running fine, i tried restarting but same thing pops up. It has less then 200 miles on it. I am going to see if it comes up when i go to lunch today if it does looks like ill be calling the dealer. Anyone know exactly what the error means? I've seen threads about people getting it after filling up and not tighting the gas cap, but i havent filled the thing up yet its still on the dealer fill up. Thanks
  8. Frogs I believe toyotas/Lexus's need two different pieces to make it work with the indash nav unit. My dealer said they had one of the parts but the other was back ordered. I believe these are the two pieces they are talking about. http://www.tss-radio.com/toyota-lexus-and-...age-p-5709.html I am not sure if best buy/circuit city would carry the parts as they are specific to different types of cars, but im sure you could get them off their sites. I dont know if they would do the install either.
  9. The key is to have something go wrong with the original car you were SUPPOSE to buy then have them install Sirius for free for you. :P Anyways that is how it worked for me, i personally love Sirius and with the amount of driving i do i cant stand regular radio. All i keep hearing is commercials, i cant wait for the dealer to get the sirius unit so they can get it installed. The merger shouldnt really effect anything, as they will be offering packages that work on both. For example in my case i have Sirius but when they merge i would like to add the MLB package which currently is only available on XM i could do that. That is what i have heard we'll see how they decide to price and divide the content. Quick side question and i dont want to hijack your thread frogs but for anyone that currently has it installed on their cars, does the dealer need your account info before they can set it up or how does it get added to your account? I have my stiletto100 but i want to add the lexus unit as a 2nd radio so i only pay 6 bux or whatever it is extra. Thanks
  10. LOL didnt think to try that one. I already felt like everyone at the dealership hated us. We didnt get out of there till after 9, and i made the guy drive over to their remote lot to pick up my all weather mats cause we are suppose to get some nasty rain the next few days and i didnt want to ruin my nice mats. I guess the parts department was closed so he had to jack them from the trunk of another car. :D
  11. Well Well i picked the car up tonight. They did not have the part for sirius i guess it is back ordered until the 10th, so since it is delayed they dropped the 200 dollar charge and are doing it for free. Another surprize.....I guess when they went looking for the car locally the only one they could find with our options and color combo had the rear lip spoiler. So they thru that in at no added cost. O the "new" car didnt have the all weather mats but i made them give me those as well...so we have the all weather and the normal lexus mats. So i think we made out pretty good. AWD 250 Lux, Prem, Nav, Spoiler, Sirius, all weather mats, premium accessories (cargo, trunk mat, etc.). Dont think there is anything else you could add to the car in our region, BTW out the door for just over 38k. Ill snap some pics of it tomorrow.
  12. Reliability is a fair assumption as the camry and accord are both great cars, and would probably run forever. Resale % is possible...that might be reaching a bit tho. Bottom line is you will not get the same overall performance, luxury, reliability, style, etc in a accord or camry. I am not sure the price on those two but arent the fully loaded versions pushing into the 30k mark?
  13. I looked at it this way...i drive 36 miles to work one way, I want to be comfortable doing it. Plus I think the IS is one of the best looking cars on the road. Its made by toyota so the reliability is there. Plus they were willing to come down on the price quite a bit, 41+ sticker for under 36. I just couldnt pass it up comfort, looks, ease of mind reliability, and a hell of a deal. BTW im taking delivery of mine today. Why dont you go snap some pics of it and post them up here that will make you feel better. :D
  14. LOL ya i thought about it, except everyone at work knows about it since they saw my loaner car today so that would be really obvious. But i was considering taking the day since i do have comp time coming out my ... We'll see, maybe take a day and drive around but i think we're going to get rained on pretty good for the next two days.
  15. Ya i hear ya...I think the IS is one of the best looking cars on the road. I cant wait to get mine Need to call the dealer tomorrow and see how they are doing on tracking one down. I know they dont have the power of the 350 but i need the AWD and for all the driving i do the MPG of the smaller engine will be nice.
