Hi all, i'm trying to put a wood dash kit in my is250... I love the look of it and after i saw the 09 with the factory wood kit... but i refuse to pay the outrageous dealer cost to install the kit... The Lexus Tech told me to use the B&I wood dash kit and have it installed installed professionally... has anyone done this? had any luck with this?

So i'm having sirius installed to the navi so that i can control it from the Nav screen and steering wheel controls... I didnt get it as an option on the vehicle because i bought it pre-owned and it didnt have it. the dealer wants $950.00 to do it!!!! an aftermarket using the same adapter says they can do it for $250 with the factory part (they warrant that their installation will look as though it will be a factory install, so much that the lexus techs wont be able to notice it).... anyone done this, any advice? i mean that's an absurd mark up!!!! and i do EVERYTHING even simple oil changes at lexus....

I bought one on Ebay for $99 when i cracked my rim on a pothole, I was Schocked! and there were many others in that price range (within $30)

I had this problem and the dealer replaced my gauge cluster, stopped hearing the rattle completely

The plastic cover between the hood and the engine? Wow, that's expensive. Did you consider going without it? The guy at the Lexus dealership rigged it to stay back on. I asked him to rig it when they quoted me that price...outrageous

I've had a bad experience there, they broke my engine cover.... $750.00 to replace.... I'm a dumbass, learned the hard way

I just took my car in with an annoying rattle too, it came from the drivers side AC vent... anyway, it was determined to be from the guage cluster and lexus replaced my entire cluster... I havent heard a sound since.... apparently this is a common enough problem for the tech to know exactly what i'm talking about and the dealership to accommodate.

Does anyone have a problem with the throttle sticking? I just noticed and am going to dealer tomorrow and just wanted to know if anyone else had issue, i feel like when my car downshifts from 5th to 4th or my rpm's are between 3000 and 4000, when i let off the gas, i feel the throttle sticking... it hangs up in the higher RPM even as i brake, then it goes back to normal... :(

Has anyone tried putting H rated tires on the IS250 AWD? If so, do you notice a difference in the ride at all? Thanks

Has anyone used the goodyear Eagle GT tires for the IS250 AWD? I shopped for them today, they're rated higher than the potenza's and last longer... any advice?

i called lexus from my cell phone to ask how to something to simple for me to want to admit on this message board and they knew exactly where i was, almost like onstar, but you had to call the 800 number... couldnt it be tracked that way?

dude i hate to burst ure bubble u dont have ML I dont... No i guess not... I see a little marking on the pictures i just googled! That sucks cause the dealer told me it did! it even came on the invoice, I wonder if it's worth making a stink over... I got it for 8k under blue book... it was 1 year old when i bought it.... Now back to the clear bra.... I cant get it to stay on without looking like crap

Hey guys, Is anyone else having issues with paint chipping? It seems like my car is a magnet for rocks and bugs... all have all these little chips It sucks, cause the IS is a georgeous car! Anyway, i tried to apply the touch up paint using the paint pen, and it seems to smear quite a bit... I bought it from lexus, and I was wondering if there are any suggestions in applying it so it looks seamless? By the way, Im kinda new around here this is my car below: 2007 IS250 AWD Voice Activatred Navi Blue Tooth ML Factory Tint Remote Start This is is a hot little number, my friends who drive the 325xi rave about the 250, claim it to be quicker and tighter in turns with less lean... Just a little FYI... it always makes me smile thought it might do the same for you other IS250 AWD owners

Sorry, what i wasn't clear... I purchased it with 25,000 miles on it, it's still covered by the Lexus and the warranty i purchased... In my Lexus warranty, Lexus recommend" that you take the car in for a service every 5,000 miles... I am definitely going to take it in at 30,000 miles just to have the Lexus techs look at it. But after that I was wondering how many people adhere to the 5,000 miles service... or is that overkill?

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and was just wondering what you thought about factory service at the recommended times... I have an 07 Lexus IS 250 AWD My questions are: 1. I bought my car used from an infinitti dealership which gave me a 100,000 mile warranty, do you think it would make a difference if i got it serviced there? 2. aside from the regular vehicle maintenance like changing oil, filters, etc does everyone abide by the 5k servicing that lexus recommends? 3. how much is the 5k service? Thoughts/suggestions? I love my car and the fact there is a forum like this really cool, Thanks in advance for any replies

Hi everyone, I just got my 07 IS 250 AWD last week... I bought it from an infiniti dealership because they had the one I wanted and all the certified pre-owned ones didnt have all the bells and whistles I wanted... Anyway, They still gave me a 100,000 mile warranty... OK, sorry... my question, when i am making a hard turn or a u-turn where i have to turn the wheel all the way, i hear a grinding sound... I dont know if this is normal... or im just paranoid. Thanks
