  1. Have you tried Edmunds.com? They give the average price (with options) for vehicles in your area.
  2. I just spliced the wires & crimped them together, which worked. Thanks! Yeh, fabbing wiring harnesses for most apps is fairly simple. I have to do the same thing for my fog light since I hit a tree in the road awhile back and it destroyed my bumper, fender well, foglight wiring. Anyway, I plan to just use 2 negative blade terminals - the kind you use for speaker wiring - and just slide the blades on the light bulb to get a good connection. Pretty simple this way, and it should work for you, too ;) good luck
  3. Thanks. I've been leaning in that direction, but wanted to see if someone else may have had this experience as well & what the turn out was. UPDATE: I held out a couple weeks and the check engine light came on; got it looked at & realized that it was a misfire on the #5 cylinder. I had gotten a tune up not too long ago, so I'm pretty sure now that it is the coil for that cylinder. There is a chance that the wire could be bad, but I'm gonna' take a chance on replacing the coil first. CONCLUSION: Turned out that I had to replace a coil AND the spark plug wire. Not sure if the spark plug was the origin of the problem or if it was the coil, but I replaced the platinum spark plugs with iridium plugs (on top of the wire & coil) and it rides like it is new again!

  5. I recently purchased a fog light on eBay for my IS300. I should stop there, but I'll continue for the sake of humoring you. The 2 ends of the wiring connectors do not match up. Does Lexus use more than one type of wiring harness/connector or did I get one from a non-US make? Is there an adapter or will cutting the wires and connecting them work?
  6. I have just begun experiencing a mild sputtering when I accelerate in 2nd and 3rd gear. I cleaned the MAF, but it didn't seem to help. I have been thinking maybe a problem with the fuel filter or fuel pump. (There are no check engine lights.) Does anyone know & if so, is it an easy fix? Appreciate any help.
