  1. As a rule.. normaly if you take it to a quick lube place the boys rip the "seal" on the bolt at the oil change. Sometimes they strip the thread. Why it's called a "quickie" Check there first and if not, the other replies are of concern.
  2. Hi DC....I use her about twice a week to haul a Zero Turn on a trailer to properties we own that need mowing. She sits on an 83 Chassis with a 350 vette engine that's been upgraded to 330 HP. AC/,Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes in the front etc. It has a higher rear end for gas mileage but you have to keep your foot out of that four barrell...Gas prices are a real pain.
  3. 99.. I only posted because I had the same problem with my 90 LS , new battery clean posts etc...turned out my negative was not tite on the negative post. Turn the connector at the post on the battery. If it moves you got it. A lot of juice to start these cars. Good Luck.
  4. I see you have a new battery...The posts and terminals have to be clean as a whistle and on tite....on the ls's. I would doubt it's the starter at 70k on a 430 at least I hope not.
  5. Car is fine..............Thanks for asking... Have fun ;)
  6. Going with RYA...Local Spa and a romantic weekend with a special dinner.... ;) Drop the jewelry and surprise her with Romance and Flowers, of course.
  7. Gives you a starting point after disconnect from the battery. Was told to me by a Lex Mechanic about my 02 and it supposedly reset the alarm after they did away with codes. Caused alot of chaos but worked for me when my Golf Clubs were locked in the trunk and I had a new battery installed at the club with 20 minutes left before my tee time. Made my tee time... :)
  8. Have you tried cycling the remote to lock/ unlock 3 times? If there is no remote, then you have a valet key. If that is the case then you will need to purchase a remote key from Lexux.
  9. Sounds good except for your location and ride????
  10. Gonna go with Smooth on this one..If you ever get a chance to drive a Porsche, take it. Bring a change of underwear...
  11. Lextuned....for that mileage and recent Lexus maintenance I think you did fine, If you are happy with the car. Forget litigation as it is just not worth the trouble. The way they fix cars today is way beyond what we put up with in olden times...LOL... ;) Enjoy it and the damage, rear quarter panel, is just a minor reflection on the Lexus as a whole. If it had air ride I would be worried. Since that is not the case..your good to go another 300k. Love heals all wounds... IMHO
  12. We should all stop and take a deep breath as gas prices appear to be getting ready to be a shocker. A land cruiser will become a dino, as in oil/gas sore or soar. Take care of immediate concerns, as in food/home for your families and rising costs for all basics. Chill for a year and see what happens. Best advice I have.
  13. Sounds like a low battery.....Have it checked at Sears or Autozone.
  14. Deer have insurance too....USDA...
  15. That Deer will cost you a few "Bucks" :whistles:
  16. Mine has it with the midnight opal blue.... The green is not pretty in my opinion...chrome wheels on dark color with chrome accent is the way to go..again, in my opinion... ;)
  17. I found using the Dealer internet salespeople give a better discount than you will get at the showroom. Tell them you are shopping on the internet and ask them for their best discount. I have not tried a broker but would think they are about the same thing the only difference being is I like to see the guy at the Dealer when I decide.
  18. Mine is quite as a church mouse....I am having a problem figuring this out... Engine noise...."Get used to it".. BS!!! Call your Lexus regional manager. As far as the ride.. much better for me as I like a stiffer ride/ handling than my somewhat previous sloppy 400/430. I am truly perplexed.
  19. Hey DC got any 47-53 gmc pick-um ups?
  20. Make sure you are getting fuel....
