  1. I just did this the other day in my 92 ES...It takes a little force and just the right angle.give it some force Thanks. Problem solved. Really need some FORCE and good angle. LOL :D
  2. Dear everyone, I got a question on how to open a 92 ES air box to changing air filter. I tried to unlock the 4 clips on the four corner of my air box, then try to lift-up my stock air box cover but still cannot open it. Is it supposed need a HUGE force to open it? (As I do not try a huge force before thinking that may damage my air box) Or there are still clips or locking device that I need to "unlock" first? Or it is not suppose to just lift-upward, but need to "pull" or "push" or anything? Sorry as it seems a noob question but I really hope someone can help me on this. Thanks in advance.
  3. You can found this shop on ebay: http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/iggeecustomseat/ I ordered one for my 92 ES, but need a little bit modification but anyway, maybe the best you can get on less than $200.
  4. Dear everyone, today all the needles on the speedometer on my 92 ES has burn out. I would like to ask is it possible for me to swap a LHD ES speedometer to my RHD ES? As Lexus parts are much more common in US (LHD country) rather than in UK (RHD country), if possible, I would buy a complete new speedometer from US rather than paying $1000 to let a UK dealer to get it done. :D
  5. Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and I own a 92 ES300. Recently, I discover that when I turn my steering a little bit trying to turn my car a little bit the car seems NOT responding(Turn that little bit) immediately. I need to turn the steering quite a bit more to make the car actually do a turn. Besides, after turning a corner, my steering NOT backing to the original center position, say if I draw a "Red arrow" pointing the 12:00 position before doing a turn, after doing a right turn, my steering just returning to a position that the arrow pointing the 2:00 rather than back to 12:00. I got a new steering pump and all bushes of the front and back wheels are new as well as the tires. My local auto shop say I need to replace my steering mount rack and pioion(<-something spell like that sorry I forgot the correct spelling). They quote me a price around $800 to fix that. However, they claim that there is "only a touch" on the rack which they think NOT worth to spend $800 to fix that. However, a steering and suspension specialist shop claim that my mount rack not as bad as the auto shop claim, they claim all I need is only a steering bush, as my bush is damage excessively which cause my whole rack shaking when turn and also cause my steering not back to the normal position. The bush cost around $50 but the labour will need another $230. My local auto shop seems quite honest on this matter however, the steering and suspension specialist shop's claim also seems reasonable. So anyone got any idea on this matter? As the problem already giving me quite a lot of trouble. Thanks in advance.
