  1. I have LX470 with 64000 miles on it. Recently when I start the car up in the morning the passenger mirror angles down when I put the car in reverse. Now I know it is supposed to do that when you have the mirror adjust button pushed to the right, but this does it no matter what position the mirror adjust button is in . Also even stranger is that as soon as the car is started the height adjustment raises the car up and lowers it, as if someone is switching the height control adjustment knob. It does not register on the dashboard showing that the height adjustment is occurring and the control knob is always in the middle. Is this some kind of electrical problem or is it a problem with the height control adjustment. thanks
  2. thanks for your reply however when I do this at least for the 1999 model and I go to the manual I cannot find a list of scheduled maintenance requirements
  3. Can someone tell me where I can get a schedule of what service my LX470 needs at the recommended mileage. thanks
  4. thanks for your reply this is exactly how it to remove the assembly went to autozone and the employee removed it within less than a minute, the dealership wanted to charge me a half hour labor to replace the bulb needless to say they have dropped a notch in my good graces, the dealership would not even tell me how to do this and I was out of town when I noticed the bulb was burned out and wanted to try to fix it so I would not get pulled over.
  5. I recently tried towing a trailer with my 1999 LX470 and the trailer lights and only the right turn signal light will work. The brake lights and running lights will not function. The lights on the trailer work fine when connected to another vehicle. thanks
  6. I have a 1999 LX470 with a burned out taillight bulb. I have removed the two screws that seem to hold the taillight assembly to the car(not the tailgate assembly). I can move the assembly out about two inches, but cannot remove it or move it out any further to get my hands in to remove the bulb. What is the trick to replacing the burned out bulbs in the assembly without having to take it to the shop for service. thanks
