  1. Hey Toyotafan, To make my wife happy, we just got our 09 RX350 this past Saturday 3/29/08. And since this is an 09 model, I am crossing my fingers that Toyota has fixed most if not all of the problems(relating to RX350) that are posted on this forum. I did the same research/comparison between the 08 MDX and 08/09 RX350. The RX350 we have is not fully loaded; it has Nav w/ the premium plus package(MSRP around $46396.00). So far it is a very comfortable car when driven on paved road. We had to purchase an 09 since the 08's are pretty much sold out and my wife only likes Silver for exterior color. Anyway, happy hunting. Pho_Tai, if you don't mind I'm asking, how much did you get for your RX350? Which location? When I purchased my 2004 RX330...I researched Edmund's message boards & went to dealership with info. Purchased car w/premium package (also had larger tires) for $35,500. Think MSRP was approx. $42k w/premimum package. One Lexus dealership wouldn't budge, so just went to another one & they matched price.
  2. One day before dealer warranty expired (thought I had a couple of weeks...surprise!) I purchased (I think) a Lexus Platinum 7 yr. 100k dealer warranty for $1575. I received quotes from $1575 (which I was told was dealer cost) to $2375 & no two dealers had the same quote. Amazing! I was planning to call a couple of dealers, & when I continually got different quotes, I contacted Lexus dealers in Atlanta, Denver, Reno, two dealers in Houston & Glendale CA. Today, I received a Fedex copy of the VSA Application from the dealership where I purchased the warranty. The Acknowledgement section reads...I, the applicant, apply to GS Adminstrators, Inc. (GSA) for a Vehicle Service Agreement (VSA)... The last sentence reads...I UNDERSTAND THE VSA IS NEITHER A WARRANTY OR AN INSURANCE POLICY. I've read on the message boards & forums where there are third party warranties but I specifically requested a Lexus platinum dealer warranty & have no idea if that is what I purchased. Fortunately, I purchased it with Amex card so it can be cancelled without a problem. The top of the form LEXUS printed on it...other than that, there is no reference to it being a Lexus warrant, or even a warranty at all. Can someone help me? Many thanks from a frustrated chick...
