  1. Changing my motor and transmission mounts made a huge improvement also. Greg
  2. My wife has an RX and I'm happy about that because of the reliability of Lexus. It's a very nice vehicle. But, I always appreciate driving an LS most after driving something else, anything else. Greg
  3. Most of the posts are consistent with my calculated figures. I get about 27 MPG highway on my '98 LS400 and around 30 MPG highway on my LS460. Greg
  4. I tried Toyo's (which I had previous success with), but they were too noisy and went quickly back to Michelin's. I won't try anything else. Greg
  5. I haven't seen many Ls 400's without a sunroof, but I have a '98 without one. Greg
  6. I recently had the motor mounts and transmission mount replaced on my 96 LS400. It runs like new. This was one of the best repairs I've had done. Greg
  7. That's how much I paid using an independent. The dealer wanted $300+ more.
  8. I can vouch for the improvement motor mounts and the transmission mount will make. I had mine done last week and the car rides like new! I wish I had done it sooner. Greg
  9. I have a 98 LS and have the same or a similar problem. I've taken it to 2 independents and the dealer, but the problem never happens when the car is there. I even had to have it towed to the dealer who had it for a week and it started every time for the dealer. I'm don't know what else to do. The battery is new and the terminals are clean. I'll check the ground wire next. Greg
  10. The 91-94 LS400 speedo and tach needles are known to stick from lube getting on the limit stop in the gage. Take a look at the bottom of the following link for info on how to clean it off. -Rick http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread...5935&page=4 Thanks for the help. Greg
  11. Men, I'm new here, but this is a very useful forum. My question is, has anyone had the problem of the needle to the speedometer not moving? I have a 98 LS and this happens from time to time. I haven't been able to detect a pattern as to under what conditions it happens. Thanks. Greg
