  1. My 08 IS250 AWD has just went through its 1st winter well.BUT THE WHEELS DID NOT .They are all pitted and look terrible.Has anyone else dealt with this and should this be covered by warranty? My dealer is 2 hrs away so I want to do some homework first before talking to them.I suspect that I will get the run around.
  2. Has anyone had a remote starter installed in there 08 IS250AWD in Saskatchewan? It sure would be nice to find someone that does.
  3. We all have block heaters here. They only help the car to start when its very cold.It still takes at least 10 minutes to warm up inside.I talked to my dealer & this is the way it is.I would have not bought this car if I had known this.IT SUCKS Here's how to solve it: Get BOTH keys. Once you start up the car, place one key in the ash tray or cupholder, or out of site. Take the other key with you out of the car. Once you close the door, lock it with the button on the second key fob (not the button on the door handle). The car will lock. Nope.Doesn't work. Guess it's only with the car off. Time to get a garage. Just a stupid design that I'll have to live with.A MAJOR STEP BACKWORDS

  7. Has anyone figured out how to start their car to warm it up but still be able to locke the doors? Also why would I be able to start my car,get out & let someone else drive away without me or my wife's smart key with them. This all seems to be way too easy for theft.Am I missing something here or what?Nothing seems to cover these issues in the manual unless I missed it. :(
  8. He knows about block heaters.ALL cars come with them up here. What he wants to know is about a remote starter. As do I.
  9. Was that for a 2008?My breaks are squeaking at 1000km but I don't know if there is a TSB for this on the 2008.
  10. This is issue has been discussed in this forum before. A friend of mine in Alberta, Canada who owns an IS told me that Lexus Canada offers one that costs CAD1,500.0. He himself did not install it. He says Lexus dealership says it took them 6 month to work this remote starter because of the car security system. I don't think you'd like to go to Alberta to have one installed in your IS. No I wouldn't even though Alberta is right next door to us in Sask.It is starting to look hopeless as far as a remote starter goes.
  11. So no-one has one in the IS?That surprises me.I'm talking about aftermarket starters as well.
  12. Does anyone have one of these on their 08 IS 250?Ihad one on my last 3 cars & I am concerned that with the keyless start on this vehicle, which I love,I will not be able to use one.I hope not.
  13. You mean... they permit such cars to be sold in Saskatchewan??? LOL :P Actually, I'd imagine you've got some nice, long, straight and uncluttered roads up there where you can really let her loose! I'd imagine it be a good place for a radar detector (although I know they are illegal in most Canadian provinces). Yes they do sell these nice cars here. But the red necks buy trucks.By the way our roads suck.
  14. It will take a while to get used to the smaller size of the back seat and trunk though.I was driving a 2004 solara for the last 4 years.Loved it as well.
  15. The matador red mica is awesome in the sun.I never thought red could look so nice.
  16. Thanks everyone for the info.I guess my salesman was right(how often does that happen?).This site is awesome.I thought I had a problem but got the facts right away so now I will enjoy the ride.Mike
  17. Hello everyone.I am new to this forum site.I just brought home my new 08 IS 250 AWD today. Before we left the dealer today we had the engine running while the salesman was showing us all the thing we needed to know about this car .It was and still is making a fairly loud ticking noise while idling. The salesman says its normal but I think it sound CHEAP.When showing off our new car to our family the ticking is the first thing they notice.Does anyone else have this problem or is it NOT A PROBLEM ?Thank in advance,Mike.
