  1. I have had the 2010 RX350 for a week and am disappointed in the foot well lighting. I had expected that in the newer model to have better lighting but the foot well lighting was taken out all together? They did link the front and rear interior ceiling lights together so when you turn the interior light on in the front, the rear interior light goes on too. This is an improvement but I am puzzled that the foot well lighting was removed all together. Other manufacturers do a good job with interior lighting but I feel that Lexus and Toyota do the minimum and expected that with this generation of the RX it would change. Our 2007 RX400h has foot well lighting... it is minimal but it does have it. Anyone else notice this change?
  2. Thanks all for the great information. My 3 year old daughter coughs all the time when in our RX400h. We noticed the white dust and the dealer changed the cabin filter. When I told them about my daughter coughing in the RX, the service advisor told me to take it up with my daughters pediatrician. It only happened in the RX and though it might be the carpet or glue used in the carpet. I replaced the mats with the all weather mats but that didn't help. I called Lexus directly and the dealer called me 48 hours later and told me that they would change the evaporator and tubing. I see in this post and agree that the vents should be cleaned and the carpets should be shampooed. I will ask but not sure what the dealer will say; and whether I should push the dealer or call Lexus directly.
  3. I have an Escort radar detector and have ordered a hard wire radar detector. I have two questions. - Does anyone know the best spot in the fuse box to connect the hard wire kit? - There are two cigarette lighter ports in the center console under the arm rest, but is there another one that I am not seeing. I checked the manual but I cannot see that they put one closer to the front of the center console or windshield for radar detector connection.
  4. I have my oil changed on my RX400h at a local Toyota dealership whenever I can and was told that the service information can be retrieved by Lexus dealerships. The Toyota dealership does the same service 5k, 10k, etc at a fraction of the cost of the Lexus dealership.
  5. The Lexus dealers know if you purchased the vehicle at their dealership but there is no reason they should give you a hard time when taking it in for service. I have been buying my Lexus cars from one dealer that is farther and have them serviced at a Lexus dealer that is closer. I didn't buy from the close Lexus dealer because of cost, selection, and frankly their sales approach is horrible.
  6. I looked at a 2010 RX450h AWD with a July 2009 production date with the following options stickered at $53,970 and the dealer in Southfiled, MI was willing to sell for $50,000 plus taxes fees. They had four or five of them on the lot and were willing to get another color from a sister dealership. RX450h AWD Navigation System Package Navigation System Package includes: - HDD Navigation System [17] including Remote Touch device, voice command, color LCD display with integrated backup camera [18], 12-speaker audio system and enhanced Bluetooth® technology [9] - XM NavTraffic® and XM NavWeather™ [17] - Lexus 12-speaker Premium Sound System with Automatic Sound Levelizer (ASL) and in-dash, single-feed, six-disc CD auto-changer - Smog-sensing automatic recirculation mode for climate-control system Additional Options: - Premium Package - Comfort Package - Towing Prep Package - 19 x 7.5-in split five-spoke alloy wheels with Superchrome finish and 235/55VR19 all-season tires - Light Emitting Diode (LED) headlamps with Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS), intelligent high-beam headlamps and headlamp washers - Intuitive Parking Assist - Wood- and leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift knob - Power folding mirrors - All weather front, rear, cargo mats - Cargo net, Wheel locks - Remote engine starter I ended up buying a 2010 RX350 AWD and will go for an 2010 RX450h in December 2009 during their year end event.
  7. Looking for 2007 IS250 bumper without park sensor and washers.
  8. I have been reading topics in this forum for a while but this is my first time posting a question; and was hoping to get some input. I have a 2007 IS250 AWD and was wondering if I can use the IS350 18in wheel setup? The setup is as follows: The wheels are Lexus 18X8 for the front and 18X8.5 for the rear (from IS350). Tires are Dunlop Sport Maxx 225-40-18 front 255-40-18 rear. The offsets are +45 front +50 rear. Wheels and tires are new. I have been searching and can't find a direct answer on whether I can use this setup on an AWD model. I like the look of the Lexus 18in wheels but don't want to harm the AWD functions in any way. I hit a pothole a few weeks ago and bent both wheels on the passenger side; and need to replace the 17in wheels. Any input or a link to another topic where this is discussed is appreciated.
